I think Taylor will be decent for some 3rd downs...But Pls. No more Jump or 50/50 balls for him 😆

Honestly, its hard to blame this on the WRs, it seemed like Jimmy was living out of the shot gun for some reason knowing our WR core was depleted, Also Shanahan seemed to draw up the long developing plays vs the plays suitable for all the active receivers we had. Pettis, Taylor, and Bourne those guys should kill the underneath routes, we got away from the quick passing game and it didnt look as if the WRs were apart of the game plan today they all seemed like decoys. Im not a huge Taylor fan due to his Welker anointing by some, Ill give him his time to get going again, Im not ready to write him off just yet. To me this was all coaching.

THIS is exactly why I blame this one on Shanny... not having the WRs, the weapon, and you put your QB in shot gun formation just makes it easier for the D to read him or stop a play..

Should have had Jimmy in the shotgun more.

why? Im curious with only Bourne, Pettis and Taylor? This would be fine if it were last season with Sanders, Deebo, and Bourne, along with Kittle. You would actually have threats the defense would account for. But Bourne, Pettis and Taylor, allowed for the defense to play what it appears to be deep halves on the outsides and cheat up the safeties. One way to neutralize this would be to run to set up the pass hence the effectiveness of play action.

exactly, Shanahan seems to abandon the run once he mentally brain farts and keeps games too close. I hate to admit this but he did the same thing in Atlanta and with us in the Superbowl, when ahead he seems to go away from whats working and its like he starts to experiment with the playbook, vs just dominating the other team or exposing the weak links like teams often do against us.

We are going to convert a lot more first downs with TT. People seem to forget he had one of the fastest shuttle times in his class.....and oh yeah, THE MOST receiving yards in college the year he was drafted.

Before people start spouting off about how his college team had a passing friendly offense, he's a little guy that destroyed his competition. In he NFL he's one of the best 3rd down guys and slant guys already if you look up his stats. Jimmys security blanket like walker and edleman was to Brady

You need players like Edelman and Welker on you team and Trent is it. 49er fans are so silly, get rid of a player simply because they have an injury or two. They rather have a player who is healthy with less talent.

Looking at the long game - With Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Taylor in there along with Jet or Mostert - if he can up his receiving skills (if all healthy and if what has been coming out of camp holds up), this package can be a match up nightmare for opponents.

Don't sleep on Taylor. If healthy, he's going to be the glue to this passing game.

lol. he's not good. idk why people have liked him so much all these years.
Didn't hate the draft pick but was a huge advocate for taking Hunter Renfrow over him. Hunter has been fantastic so far in his career and man it would've been nice to have him on this team.
Time to get rid of PJ Taylor
not bad for a cheese doodle

I felt he had room to return that last punt. Was that him?

So who are we replacing him with? another camp allstar with minimal catches and only forum hype? Or someone we "should of" drafted that 3 years down the line has one good year so now they are a sure thing?

I hope this is the last season of this stupid experiment. Dude is not an NFL WR let alone an NFL caliber returner.

Curious if Kyle just told him to FC that last punt. It sure looked like he had some room to run
