Now they can go into the draft and not feel like they must pick a certain position because it's not filled. It's the same every year.

Great approach IMO

While I agree on the surface, nothing about a Trent Taylor signing is affecting how they will, or should, draft.

He is not filling a need. If he's on the 53 roster it's a loss and concern.
Camp fodder and nothing more

Punt return touchdowns are nice, but I'd settle for zero punt return touchdowns for the rest of the 49ers existence as an NFL franchise in exchange for not brainfarting in playoff games.

I'd settle for average ST play throughout the season.

I get your point, but one doesn't effect the other. I can't say we don't emphasize special teams with us putting 4th and 3rd round picks until punters and kickers, but as a unit, it doesn't seem like Kyle prioritizes big returns.
I sort of liked Trent. He had some moments. Maybe with a better QB but he is older now so maybe a wash.
This dude is slow as hell and gets no separation…
Get him out of here and give reps to someone that can play

there's just zero upside lol
Slow and small, definitely not making the team.
He's gone. Cowing is a beast and we have our white boy in pearsall.
Certainly seems like Cowing is a better version. Not sure if he's PS or just outright cut
