Taylor did not run the wrong route. Hoyer targeted the wrong route.

He would of had the 2 point conversion if he ran towards the back endzone, instead he ran an out and back into the defender. Not sure if its a read play or he had to run that route.

That was the play call. Incidentally, it was the same one he scored on earlier from the other side of the formation.
Tough sob. No way you can tell me he didn't get concussed on that hit after the catch. I think he hid it, and bounced back on his feet.

We finally found a quick twitch receiver

His character in not blowing up about the bad call post game says a lot.

TBH he didn't seem that surprised about the call to begin with, whereas the Rams defender jumped up calling for OPI immediately.

Would be nice to be able to see a usable camera angle on that call.

The announcers comparing him to both Welker and Amendola was

Why is it that on a crucial play like that, there was not multiple replays from different angles? Perhaps to not show up the refs and start a controversy on on of the crucial plays of the game. Once again NFL officiating will be mediocre at best. Like Hoyer said in his presser, if you don't take care of business earlier you are subject to the borderline ref call when it counts.
I love the route Taylor ran for his TD, that's what I envisioned him doing.

It definitely looked like he got his head rattled on that hit, dude is a tough s.o.b.
lol at the refs thinking that this 110 lb, 5'5" receiver could actually interfere with what any defender is trying to do.

I thought for a minute he was knocked out.
Finally we have someone who doesn't get injured at every single little hit

did we get a better camera angle on the "PI"?

You guys talking about the 2 pt attempt?

I think Taylor/Hoyer both executed the play as designed. It was a bad play design IMO. THL, you can look at the film to tell though.

But my impression was all game we were frequently using Taylor to make repeated cut backs in his passing routes, like the one he scored on was a crazy passing route. I believe he was suppose to run a similar route where he is running the route to the outside and is suppose to cut back to the inside. Sorry I don't know the terminology that well.

Seemed like an option route, Taylor made the wrong read based on the position of the defender and Hoyer basically was just staring at the cut Taylor and threw it to a location based on the cut without even checking the defender. Regardless there was allot of fail to be shared on that play.

The one positive I see is that everything that has been going wrong in these games is fixable with experience. The plays are there to be made but this being a young team with a brand new system on both sides, the consistency isnt there yet. Our Interior OL is trash but even against some of the best front 7s in the NFL each game was winnable.
Bunch of yellow flags running around covering our guys. f**king refs
