Year One of "The Rebuild"

IMO, first 6-8 games will be frustrating at times.

Then we'll start to gel.

We will be playing a number of very good teams who have drafted well for the last 5 years or more.

Teams that have built a culture and are well oiled machines w/some flaws.

IMO, 4 - 12

Nobody will hand us a blowout and we'll have some nail-biter losses.

We will be viewed as a MUCH better team than our record indicates.

The whole league will take notice what KS/JL have done and quality FA will want to play here.

we'll have a top 5 draft pick and we'll have built an experienced foundation.

Those are my expectations going into year 2 of the rebuild.

If we do better than if not we'll survive.

I'm pretty sure we will have 1 maybe a couple
I was just looking at the schedule of games in October:

Sunday, Oct. 1 at Arizona 1:05 p.m
Sunday, Oct. 8 at Indianapolis 10 a.m.
Sunday, Oct. 15 at Washington 10 a.m.
Sunday, Oct. 22 vs. Dallas (home game) 1:05 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 29 at Philadelphia 10 a.m.

Each of those could be winnable games (some long shots, though) if things fall into place sufficiently, but the schedule itself is kinda brutal. Four away games with three of those starting at 10:00 in the space of a month. Do you think that having a lot of youth on the team will help deal with the schedule or do you think that young players will struggle with the schedule?

Just to be clear, I assume you mean we'll be on the short end of a couple of blowouts. It could well be 4 or more, given the quality of competition, and the fact that our pass defense is likely to be very weak. Any team we play with a good passing attack will not be a fun experience.

Arizona has the second best head coach in the league right now, and will be looking to take no prisoners after last year's underachievement. Indy is a toss-up, depending on whether Luck is on the field. Washington, Dallas, and Philly will murder us; we're just not in their class.

Yes
I have us winning vs Rams, @Skins, @Bears, and Jaguars. If we're lucky we sneak in a win or two against Panthers and Cards at home. You'll never know. It'll all depend on injury situation.
Good bulletin board material. Something for them to use as motivation.

Colts game is very winnable if Luck is out. Cowboys come here so why not ...

As for Tards, they're one Palmer away from being mediocre (they got a good D however)

Philly and Deadskins might use us to wipe their ass doe

I truly believe if we split first two games and win the 3rd at home vs the rams we have a shot to steal the division.

Time will tell.

Ill be at the lambs game on TNF.

Adding some ok free agents and one draft isn't changing that too much.

We don't really have much starting material at many positions.

Browns Bills and Jets all want to say hi.
You should temper your expectations.
I think that our defense will be very competitive through the entire game.
However, Shanahan's offense needed a whole year to be efficient with Ryan and Jones, respectively. Keep that in mind.

If its like the previous 2 years, we will beat the Panthers then get blown out by Seattle which will causes a drastic free-fall.

Probably ending up with around 4 wins.

Its arguable. And that in itself stinks.
