No, I was referring to the OP.

Feeels about right tbh. No idea how long it will take for the offense, defense, team in general to gel. A lot of youth, new scheme etc. It could be rough at first then get better as the season goes on. Oh yeah- we need a nice healthy season as well!

In Shanahan's first year as OC with the Falcons (2015) the Niners under Tomsula beat them (Gabbert was QB) with a score of something like 14 to 13. The Falcons lost 8 or their last 11 games (they ended up 8 and 8). Their offense was erratic that year. I'm not sure what the point of that is other than to say it makes me think that it's really hard to figure out how the 9ers will play this first year under Shanahan. Four to five wins sounds about right, but maybe things will "click" into place quicker than it seems likely and they may do quite a bit better (though very unlikely to be division winners). But with so many new players and new coaches with new offensive and defensive schemes, it wouldn't surprise me if they had fewer than four wins.

We're going from a historically bad run 32nd ranked run D to a mid teens in 2017. That will keep us in games and give us drama in the 4th qtr. being so green, makes sense we lose more of the close ones than we win but we have an organization we can stand behind. More than I can say about last year...
I'm not concerned how many we win this year but 2018? Let's flip this division downside up!

This.
5 wins is realistic, maybe less with this schedule and no Qb.
We are years away. Lower your expectations with this team and enjoy the ride.

Aside from the predictions, IF we are a 4 win team, we are in great position to get a FQB.

To be honest, no one knows s**t. Our final year with Harbs was a Superbowl-level team that only won 8 games. We had a top 5 WR corps, Kap was one of the best QBs in the NFL according to the pundits and the defense was still elite. Eight wins.

Just getting rid of Chip could put the degense in the teens. His system was a defense killer.

We also had a GM that flopped on the whole draft...
This is what I mean smh.. In 2013 there were reports of concerns regarding the oline, Trent never addressed the offensive line...
Guess what happened in 2014 Harbaugh's last year?!?!?!?!
Kapernick was the highest sacked Qb.
My point? 2014 Was not a Super Bowl team..
Not one player from the 2012 draft is on this team... So looking back, 2014 went to s**t , already going down hill.
I'm surprised we even went to a super bowl.
(But around here we delete facts and embrace lies)

Two weeks ago, San Francisco gave up six sacks for 53 yards to the Denver Broncos. That's not good, but one has to at least have some understanding when considering Denver's pass-rushers had 23 sacks prior to the week."

+1 Your right, no one really knows..
I was one of the few who has been consistently calling baalke out for years... My 4-5 suspensions will not be forgotten.
We must not forget, I am not gloating but by no means i will forget.
2014
Vernon Davis back injury
Micheal Crabtree recovering from surgery
Boone held out..
Iupati- underperformed
Staley looked lost at times
Davis hot garbage.
Again 2013 there were signals before 2014 that our line needed addressing, thus 2014 was no super bowl year for us.

"Staley himself was a part of the problem. He was lined up against Quinn throughout the game, allowing two of the All-Pro's sacks during the contest. And one should not forget how DeMarcus Ware made Staley look bad two weeks ago. Bleacher Report's Stephen Nelson shared that play:"
Our best lineman looked like s**t in 2014.. The signs were there in 2013. No hindsight, straight blatant disregard or stupidity from Lord Baalke..
8 sacks in one game.. lol

70 million under the cap playing a brutal schedule should factor in. This should be the last year we have to have this conversation though. Kirk cousins and another solid draft and we are back in this!

"The problems endured by Staley this season have been repeated in large numbers along the remainder of the O-line. True, the lack of continuity has been a problem. Injuries suffered to Mike Iupati and Anthony Davis have forced the 49ers' hand numerous times." 2014..
There's a point.. Like i said years ago.. In the nfl it takes years to see the result of your draft. So when you have a GM who ignores needs, years later its going to hurt us, whether we want to move on, forget or coverup.. The real draft grades are 3-4 years later...
Not me, learn from this, so it doesn't happen again.. John Lynch has a pile of dog s**t that needs cleaning before we can put pictures up on the wall.. Lower expectations and learn from this lesson so this s**t doesnt happen again.
