sounds like a bad day for the offense

Read it also says offside penalties which is defense. It wasn't entirely the offense for all those mistakes. On a sidenote like John Lynch said the other day in some interview, it's gonna be hard to keep Foster off the field. Now Smith going on IR sucks but makes it a little easier.

1st and 2nd team offense was getting false start penalties.

Lol. I'll take another rough year that's injury free. See this team gel and grow.

I guess Joshua Garnett was holding down the whole unit. LOL

On a serious note, the DL must be absolutely kicking the OL's asses to mske them that jumpy at this stage of TC.

Our OL lacking skill wouldn't be a surprise but having this bad of a mental day!?

X and O people will know better than me but isn't it odd for the OL to just struggle out of the blue in TC (or at least so much worse than usual). My guess would be this would be exacerbated by installing a new snap count or practicing new plays for Friday? The entire OL is made of experienced veterans (even Trent has some tread on his tires now) and I wouldn't expect something this bad in the middle of camp.

Never mind. I read the issue here (http://ninerswire.usatoday.com/2017/08/07/49ers-practice-recap-reuben-foster-gets-his-first-shot/)

"The offense struggled with hard counts in a team period in which it was backed up on its own goal line. Right tackle Trent Brown and Kittle jumped consecutively to start the drill, aimed at getting the defense to jump offsides to get five years of breathing room."
Few more days!
