I'm hoping DJ jones can bump dial down the dc before the season starts.

Jones is a more natural NT so I hope he makes the team and can turn into that anchor the team has needed for so long. Tired of seeing runs up the middle when Bowman is out. Foster may help but a stout DT who can't be moved would make my day.

Agree.
Just noticed Kilgore is ahead of zuttah. He must be doing something right to warrant a start against the chiefs. The staff may simply want to see him against other starters but they still want to see him.

Tank holding on by a thread with Solomon. Honestly, Solomon might not take that spot until mid season which means we have to carry tank, which means a surprise cut somewhere else.
Before camp started I had Blair miscast as solomons backup at end. Blair looks like he's getting buried down the depth chart inside. Too bad, he made plays last year, i like him better than tank at any position.

pre season depth charts are like the bible, people read them and think they're real

The depth chart is compiled not by coaches but by the team's public relations department and the team emphasizes that the list is unofficial.

Yeah, but if they have a guy listed as a starter it still means they want to see him against other starters. If someone is bad, they get buried.

Who's "they" in your sentence, the public relations department? lol

Some teams won't even release a depth chart until the start of the regular season. Chip did that last year.

They as in coaches. The reason the players are listed where they are (by Joan in accounting) is a reflection of who's getting more snaps with the first team in practice. Which brings me back to my original point, there is a reason they are getting those snaps.

That's just common sense and has nothing to do with the depth chart filled out by Joan.

This is not the case. The coaches haven't made the call on who's starting yet.

lol

Let me get this straight. You're saying there is no correlation between who gets first team reps in practice and the depth chart? Wellhell good sir, I disagree.

That's not what I said at all.

I said just because Kilgore is listed as the #1 on that depth chart doesn't mean he's starting the game. It's not the final or official depth chart.

I said it's common sense that the top 2 talented guys at a position will share #1 reps.
