5 Super Bowls for Trubisky?

How did I not know that.

Do you think Chicago would take our 2017 draft class and all our picks for the next three years for him? I guess not. Oh well.

This thread is stupid.

Ya got that right..

The truth hurts sometimes. Come back in 3 or 4 years when the Niners haven't won a single playoff game & say this thread was stupid.

...They might win 1. Maybe 2 (but not in the same year). And even if they reach that peak, they'll the start to decline again.

If they draft Rosen (maybe Josh Allen or maybe, maybe, maybe Sam Darnold) then I'll take it back, but I don't see that happening.

Honest thread. I like it.

Valid point that we passed on a possible fqb. (Although I am in the opinion we did the right thing- the more I saw of Trubisky, I felt he wouldn't pan out).

That being said the future guarantees nothing. So I get why you would be upset. We have no idea where we will pick and if a fqb will be there for us next year. The team could improve enough to never have a top pick gain, but also never have that fqb, making us pedestrian for the next 8 years, like the harbaugh era. If next years off-season doesn't land us a fqb, it will make things look worse.

I also am not into Cousins. Locking up massive $ for a guy already on the backend of his prime feels like a short term solution and overall just isn't that exciting.

My hope is that we improve, but I don't see more than 5-6 wins. That should be right around top 10. Then we assume they love a qb in the draft and will trade the house for him? Risky.

Basically they must have some sort of plan for the next year or two that involves solidifying the qb position.

We shall see!

I'm fine with honest threads and anyone who's realistic knows s**t isn't gonna turn around in one yr...what's not honest about this thread is the real fact that he's butt hurt they didn't draft Mitch or bring In McDaniels. That's what this is about, not who's actually here.

I like how Matt Ryan is below average. If he thinks Cousins is just average then I want him even more now.

I disagree with a lot of sickness's evaluations of players...is what it is, everyone is intitled to their opinion.

I wonder if Marty put all his money on the Cubs to win the World Series in 2015.

Any realistic, objective person KNOWS for certain these guys aren't ever going to hoist a trophy. They won't (unless you get a defense like the 2000 Ravens, 2002 Buccs, 2013 Seahawks). So a realistic person takes the unknown (Trubisky, Rosen, Josh Allen maybe, etc).

How can any realistic and objective person know for certain the outcome of future events ?

Even Ozzie Newsome drafted Kyle Boller. My track record on QBs is f***ing phenomenal. I got like 4 or 5 wrong and like 40 right.

That didn't answer my question.

Only five men in NFL history have thrown for 5,000 yards in a season, the first going back to 1984, and only one more than once. Last season, Kirk Cousins threw for 4,917 yards.

Total yards is a meaningless stat. Drew Bledsoe threw for a s**t ton of yards, and he was mediocre as mediocre gets. I get that you believe in Kirk, but I think that's naive. JMO.
