I think the news may be both sides are OK with it. Is that an indication the Skins have thrown in the towel and won't fight his departure next year? It would be awfully expensive...

What's the date for Kirk? July 17th?

At least we find out that day if he signs or not. We won't know much more then that. A lot of time until next season for things to change.

Be nice to get him and draft another qb, and let Cj and a rookie battle for the 3rd spot an hopefully keep upgrading.

Yup July 17th is the date...correct a lot can happen in a yr, I'm all for options

I'm down for a front loaded contract on Kirk, develop CJ and possibly another draft pick, THEN take our more than likely high end draft pick and trade it to the highest bidder. We could use all that draft capital to build the OL/get a pass rusher. I can see us looking at FA for a WR as well.

Imo Kirk makes us a viable playoff team and we can still build for the future with those draft picks...a lots got to happen but it's not totally unrealistic.
