EMMANUEL MOSELEY COME ON DOWN. YOU ARE THE LATEST VICTIM OF THE 49ERS FRONT OFFICE REFUSING TO ADDRESS THEIR LEAGUE LEADING INJURY PROBLEM.

WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY? DOING THE SAME THING OVER AN OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS.

In what way, in your opinion, have the front office refused to do which could have addressed the injury problem? We no longer draft the Baalke specials. So what is it they could have done, and refused to do?

Spell it out.

1. they acquire fragile/undurable players. yes they finally started drafting more durable an reliable players but that is very recent. that just started in this draft or the last one correct? are any of those more durable players even playing much to contribute? and what did it cost us to get them to finally see hey we need to stop picking fragile guys. it cost us a f**king SB. had they accepted this in year 2 and not year 4 then 2019 would probably have been the year to bring us trophy #6. injuries was a major reason we didnt win it all in 2019 and is the biggest reason we still wont win it all this year.

2. 4 years ago they brought in the dude from the NHL(an probly a crew too) to be the head of "player health and performance". what started 4 years ago? our record breaking injury streak. we werent exactly awesome with injuries before this guy but read the writing on the wall. accept it for what it is, a problem. the problem has taken a nosedive since this guy came in and there is no sign of recovering. what were trying to do with player health IS. NOT. WORKING. wtf else will it take for the team to accept this?

3. its been talked about that shanny has a different practice style thats more relaxed and less physical. probably trying to "preserve" players bodies but as we can tell, nothing is being preserved. i havent got proof of this or verified it in any way, i just have read this multiple times over the last 5 years. on here an other places. so everything without facts an proof is just assumptions, but with the results we have been getting this is an assumption im willing to bet is true.

4. i think our player health staff is just flat out flawed. they arent good at their jobs. maybe their not qualified enough to help, maybe their in the wrong sport, we dont know. they misdiagnose injuries, declare players healthy when they really are not, declare players injured when they really are not, send guys out to play when they shouldnt play etc. how many times have we heard of an injury to a player announced and a few days later its a different story/injury. i can think of a few. i remember watching a game that was jeff wilsons first game back after another injury. the dude pulled a muscle running out onto the field for his very first play. now ya that could have been random "bad luck/freak injury" kind of stuff, but with how things have been here would you doubt that just maybe his body wasnt actually ready to go?

5. this isnt our FOs fault but the leagues move away from practices with contact an less preseason games is a direct cause of the increase in injuries. guys just arent ready for full on contact.

6. this regime doesnt believe in protecting the QB. if you need proof, look at their OL choices the last 5 years. they dont believe in pass protection, they believe you only need to protect the qb by running the ball well. need proof? how healthy have our qbs been with this regime. why did we draft trey lance? so we could have a mobile qb to run away from all the DE's running right through our OL.

besides my #5 everything i just spelled out is choices talked about an made by our FO. the scariest part is here we are in what year 6? and after the annual proof that our players health is terrible, they STILL continue with the same plan, refusing to update it, refusing to change it. refusing to change personnel. in fact didnt shanny just say "im just used to the injuries by now". if that doesnt scare the s**t out of you idk what will. im a niner fan through an through but this season was about our new QB, our future an finally getting healthy and a mobile qb offense. this season ended when trey went down. worst part is, after hes back, after waiting ANOTHER year, hes probably just going to get hurt again within a few weeks.

call me negative, a downer or whatever you want but its time to be realistic people.

I appreciate the contributions to this thread.

I remember playing football and having 2 a days for months. Like what is going on here? Get to the top of the mountain and its all about money now. Ohhh don't play Kittle, Bosa or anyone in preseason to preserve them from injury? For what? So they can get hurt in the regular season and get social media prayers while cashing their checks? Man, i miss the 70's, 80's and 90's football. Rant over.

I hate to break it to you but times have changed and so has the athlete and so has the playing surface. There is also a players union protecting these guys now. Calling these guys soft is a cop out.

They're not soft but they don't play hurt like they used to. Part of it is a greater concern for safety and part is because of the money involved. There was a time when players that were hurt could just get cut unlike now when they can't be released while on IR.

This game is more about protecting investments than beating the man infront of you. Competition, i'm better than you and will dominate you. Sure the athletes have evolved but its not even about that anymore. Holding out? Not going to do your job? Imagine if the rest of us peons did that? My employer would tell me to kick rocks. In todays NFL they are praised... ohhh he shouldnt play till he gets his money... uhh you play to get your money. "Injuries are part of the job" right? Ohh you dont need to practice with pads on... Just lift weights for selfies and training videos so your brand can make money. This isnt about winning anymore, its about getting rich. The game is violent, you signed up for that. They are soft, period. Guarantee these dudes play in the previous decades their careers would be over. Did you see the wonderful roughing call yesterday on Mr. Tom Brady? Are you kidding me?! that's a roughing call? Incredible. SOFT
With all the talk of soft players I am worried about Jennings now playing angry. A recipe for an another IR. He is not built like Deebo who has been getting a few nicks and bruises that have brought him back a notch.

I went through this point by point but my iPad crashed! I don't have time to reproduce it, so here is parts that I remember. You say the team didn't change their drafting approach till 2021, or year 4. Warner, Bosa, Samuel, Wish, Greenlaw, Aiyuk, Jennings. I say they learned and changed their drafting after their 2nd draft and their FA shortly afterwards. Draft picks are a gamble. They have done incredibly well at them in the last four years.

Read the thread. The injury problem goes back way before 4 years. To blame it on Ben Peterson is nonsense. Your accusations of incompetence against the player health team is just ******. Jeff Wilson is a professional football player. Up to him to flag up if he isn't ready to play. Regarding the injuries themselves, you mean a spot diagnosis is altered after medical professionals get the chance to run tests and investigations? What a shock.

If our regime doesn't believe in protecting the quarterbacks, why did they spend a fortune on a left tackle and a 1st round pick on a right tackle? Every position is calling for high draft picks and the team believes that the interior O line can be maintained using lower picks. You can't build the #1 defence, have great receivers, a (hopefully) qbotf etc etc and still spend a bunch of high picks on the O line. I would start there, but their strategy has worked. This does NOT mean that they don't believe in protecting the qb.

I don't know what the team has done about the injury situation away from the limelight and neither do you. What they have done quite openly is to build a roster with incredible depth, so that we can face the loss of our QB1, our RR1, our LT1 and LT2 and various others and still end up on top of the NFC West. But you carry on talking about wasted years, incompetent staff and so on. Doesn't mean you are realistic and others are not.

Agree to disagree. We don't have to agree on everything as niner fans. One thing we can agree on is that none of us fans truly know what's goin on behind closed doors with the FO an their decisions.

what we CAN agree on because it's spelled out every week right in front of us is that our team is undeniably more fragile/hurt/undurable than most of the league. And that it has now cost us not just wins but a SB win an NFC title win. If you or fans can't admit that's true then their just still stuck in the denial phase.

Hopefully our FO reads the writing on the wall asap an makes needed changes.

Agreeing to disagree but getting a pop in about me being in denial. Well, in return, team is in a good position top of the west with most of the injuries coming back during the regular season. And the front office continue to impress with drafting and FA. And if you can't spell out what the changes are that you seek, we won't know if they make them.

Injuries didn't cost us the SB win or an NFC title win. Jimmy G, bad officiating, and bad coaching cost us the SB. Jimmy G and bad coaching cost us the NFC title win.

i think alota 49er fans these days are in denial. i said that in my last post and iv said it many other posts on this site. im not targeting anybody in particular but yes my replies in here are in response to yours. just look at what you hear every single week now "well...next man up" "its football" " its a rough sport" " were so deep so its ok". no one wants to actually face an address the problem to solve it. just keep saying " well next man up". wtf are we gonna do when we have no more men in line! sign dudes off the street an have them be our starters? oh wait thats already happening cause teco raw is now one of our starting RBs! its already here people!!!

i laid out all our issues and the fixes are pretty obvious but il list them again:

1. stop acquiring fragile players, prioritize durability in new players. this is possibly already happening, a great step in the right direction
2. bring in a different health an performance dept. sry, wev seen what this dept is capable of, they just arent getting the job done. i dont need to list any evidence here all you have to do is look at the last 6 years. theres your evidence.
3. do some research into our practice style and other teams an see if theres something they can change in practice that will decrease injuries.
4. build an OL that can protect the QB. theres 3 other positions on the OL besides the tackles, which is the only place wev invested resources. those 3 positions have been our weakness an the reason our QB is constantly under fire.

theres changes spelled out. im not gonna repeat the same thing anymore. change is needed. we arent winning a superbowl until changes happen. bottom line.

I don't know how you do #1. If you're only drafting players without injury histories you're probably drafting career backups and passing over Hufunga.
#2..You say look at the evidence. Well you clearly didn't look at all because we swapped out our strength and conditioning staff in 2019.
#3 I don't think Kyle is adverse to research or change. You're thinking of harbaugh.
#4 ok finally, yes sure. Build a good OL. We have the best LT in football and a 1st rd pick at RT.

funny how all the sudden mcglinchey is a 1st rd talent when were talking about building an OL, but on game day everyone cant stand him an wants him gone.
hows our health been since 2019? thats my point. again, i dont need to provide any evidence, just check the list of injuries. thats the evidence.

again im not repeating the same stuff anymore. people either see it for what it is, or dont.

Evidence of what exactly?

What does the list of injuries actually tell you the 9ers are doing wrong and how can they fix it?
