They'll most likely be 32nd in AGL then. We were 27th in 2019 which made our run to the Superbowl historic. No team that high has ever made a Superbowl. Let's see if they can make it now.
Pretty much sums it up for last year and this year too on their point about injuries being pretty consistent year-over-year. That's certainly been our case every year for 8 years now. Rams too. That doesn't mean we're always dead last either like last year.

Top 5 Takeaways from 2020 NFL Team Injury Impact

San Francisco's injury misery The 49ers were 32nd in our Meta-Analysis, as they finished last in both AGL and WAIL. According to PFF, the 49ers had the worst season of any team since 2012 in terms of WAR-Adjusted Injuries Lost. QB Jimmy Garoppolo, TE George Kittle, EDGE Nick Bosa and CB Richard Sherman all ended up on IR in 2020.

If the 49ers can even get close to average in terms of injuries, they will have a legitimate chance to win the NFC West and return to the Super Bowl. The concern, however, is that injuries are somewhat stable from year to year. We once conducted a study and found that prior injury history is an even bigger factor than age when predicting future injuries. In other words, even though Garoppolo is more than 14 years younger than Brady, he's more likely to get injured in 2021 due to his injury history.

The good news for 49ers fans is that they have Trey Lance looming in case of a possible injury to Jimmy G. Overall, there is no doubt the 49ers have a talented roster, but their injury fortunes must improve for them to reach their potential.

The Rams rely on health Right above the Buccaneers, the Rams finished third in our injury study. This is not new for the Rams either—they have been one of the best teams in AGL since finishing last in 2011. They have been in the top four in four of five seasons since moving to L.A. in 2016, finishing first in both 2016 and 2017.

Such injury success would enable any team to perform close to their peak, but it's especially important for the Rams. From a roster construction standpoint, they are the most superstar-driven team in the NFL. The Rams will go seven consecutive seasons without a first-round pick, most recently trading two first-rounders, a third-rounder and Jared Goff to the Lions for Matthew Stafford.

For the Rams to be successful in 2021, they will need to bank on injury stability. Their sports medicine and performance staff has done a remarkable job and will need to replicate that moving forward. The Rams are paper thin on their offensive line, and last season's top defense will rely heavily on veteran superstars Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.

A players livelihood depends on their health. So it makes sense that players won't tell the HC everything that might make them look injured, weak, or unmotivated.

These are multi-million dollar bodies and players, and I'm sure Kyle's learned a lot about injuries these past couple of years. I'm sure he's going to learn a ton more in the future. Guy's like Mitchell, he's still learning about, and guys like Kittle, he knows what he can discount when listening to George about his injuries. I think Kyle is getting better at allowing more time for a player to heal as he's gotten more experience with the injury bug on this team.

Most definitely. He'll learn. No doubt.
Critical injuries at critical positions at critical times strike again.

No Trent Williams or K'Waun Williams...just two of THE biggest players we needed to face their two biggest strengths. No biggie (hopefully). Wow.

Yup. Injuries. What else is new. Well, I'm going to prepare a nice dinner after the game just in case what I think will happen, will happen.

we just can't catch a break guys

Your right all the injuries can suck it. Imagine the result of todays game if we had all our players on the field like:

trent williams
kwaun williams
lenoir
raheem mostert
jason verett
trey sermon
dee ford
javon kinlaw
al shair
marcell harris
Wishnowsky
j tartt who had to leave the game injured for the 168th time
an keep in mind these are just the starters I'm not even getting into the backups.

should I keep going??

the targeting of people calling it what it is is weak. An denial of the truth. Facts an truth will always matter over feelings. We can feel however we want to but what we've seen happen week after week is fact. The fact that we made the playoffs with this condition of a team is miraculous but if we can somehow get the right guys back healthy right now there wouldn't be any better timing in the world for that to happen. It's def possible but I'm going forward with realistic expectations based on what Iv seen my team do an not do.

Let us pray.
