Elijah Mitchell
Trent Williams
Jimmy Garoppolo
Dre Greenlaw
Talanoa Hufanga
Maurice Hurst
Jaquiski Tartt
Marcell Harris

Which other guys aside from Trent were not available yesterday? And who got nicked up yesterday?

Didn't hear much about injuries yesterday which is a welcomed surprise.

Here's the latest from David Bonilla on the home page:

Trent Williams, tackle

Williams did not play on Sunday. He was inactive due to an elbow injury. Shanahan says Williams will be doing everything he can to play against the Cowboys. However, the coach didn't sound optimistic that his starting left tackle would practice on Wednesday.

"He wasn't going to be in good enough shape to protect himself [on Sunday] or the quarterback in the game," Shanahan said. "That was tough on him, but I think he was as excited as anyone after we won because I know he's going to do everything he can, and I think he just needs seven more days."

K'Waun Williams, cornerback
Williams, another player who did not play on Sunday, was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list before the game but did not feel well enough to play.

"I didn't get to talk to him today," Shanahan said, "but I'd be surprised if he wasn't good to go on Wednesday."

Jimmy Garoppolo, quarterback
Garoppolo "made it out of the game in good shape." He played through a torn ligament and chipped bone in his right thumb. The 49ers could limit Garoppolo in practice this week.

Elijah Mitchell, running back
Like Garoppolo, Mitchell made it out of the game OK. He had been dealing with a knee injury. The 49ers will continue to be cautious with him, limiting him during practices this week.

Mitch Wishnowsky, punter
Wishnowsky was victim to an uncalled helmet-to-helmet hit during a punt return. He was evaluated for a concussion and did not return to the game. Wishnowsky is in the concussion protocol.

Jaquiski Tartt, safety
Tartt exited the game in the second half due to a groin injury.

"Positive news from the MRI," Shanahan said, "so we'll see where he is on Wednesday."

Talanoa Hufanga, safety
Hufanga was ruled "out" with a knee injury.

"Hufanga irritated the same knee [as his previous injury]," Shanahan said. "We'll see where he is on Wednesday. he'll still have a chance."

Azeez Al-Shaair (Elbows & Knee) and Marcell Harris (Achilles), linebackers
Both Al-Shaair and Harris were inactive against the Rams. Shanahan hopes to get both back this week.
Not many changes to the I.R. list the last couple of weeks but still lots of guys missing games and in-out of the lineup.

Just keep checking back here. I update as I hear about it but some of this stuff (like Trent Williams, K'Waun Williams and Marcell Harris) you don't hear about until the Inactive list comes out...even in-game stuff like Hufanga and Tartt, you don't always get a report and hear about it later.

Feel like this thread should be locked in the playoffs. No sense in crying about injuries when it's elimination rounds. All hands on deck. If you have an injury, nut up like Jimmy and play through it. If you are a backup starting, you try to play like a ProBowler and lives are at stake.

War of attrition time.

Let's go!!!!

We could actually be in pretty great shape too going into that Cowboys game. Knock on wood.

Great stuff NC! NCommand

I hope Trent Williams can play, I'd like to see him road grade some of the Cowboy defenders!

Thank you!

Me too...have to get both Williams back, now Greenlaw and maybe Azeez? Moseley was huge!

Gotta see what's up with Tartt now. Stay away from COVID and we should be in pretty good shape.

This has to be the longest we've had our skill positions together at once too. Mitchell back has been enormous.

I think of the name Hurst as being that wealthy family where someone has paid the ransom to let Maurice play.

Hurst! Whoa, he's active? Hmmm!
ya i saw hurst was a full participant in practice.

has he played at all this year? do we know how good he can be this season? could be a perfect player to rotate in the DL in the 2nd half to give the big dudes some recovery time

He player earlier in the year, (week 4 and 5 I think) then got injured.

Young guy, a 5th round Raider draft pick. He had 4 sacks his first year with the Raiders, and if that's any indication -- he could be a 8+ sack player here (a la Arden Key) once he gets up to speed in Kocurek's system. Like you said, if he's good to go -- he can be a good rotational player for the playoffs to spell some of our other DLinemen. He will bolster (if anything) the special teams too.
