When asked specifically if the 49ers training every day without a lull in the action would prevent injuries, Safran confirmed that it would not make a difference. The orthopedic surgeon did add that over half of hamstring injuries in the NFL tend to occur in the preseason, as players ramp up their workouts as they get back up to full speed for the season.

I agree with this too. I actually think it's more mental in many cases. Young kids just going from 0 to 100 in all-eyes-on-me scenarios. I think veterans learn to make business decisions and don't get as caught up in the lights. You gotta teach them to work their way up the condition ladder. For instance, the second T.Moore got beat for that TD you could see on the reply he was just jogging. No need to go 110% there and rip a hammy esp. after coming back from an injury.

Chris Biderman just said Drake Jackson had a shoulder issue in college...brace on. Just hurt it again. Then slipped and tried to brace with that arm and instantly came up gimpy and in a lot of pain...shoulder hanging.

What the f**k is our medical staff doing? Drills?

He said this occurred today?

It was today's pod so it must have been from yesterday or the day before.

I thought the guy just had a stinger. That shouldn't require a brace should it?

No, Biderman researched him more closely and saw he had a shoulder injury in college and even saw him wearing a brace. I'm assuming he's talking about the same shoulder he just aggrevated x2.

Gotta keep on eye on the durability aspect of Drake. If he's another Dee Ford in terms of durability, you do what the Chiefs did and unload him right before when his durability falls off a cliff.

Juice, in one of the interviews was asked about how he kept in such great shape and avoid injuries, and he said the answer would take a couple of hours. But basically he has a lot of knowledge physically and medically on how to take care of his body and work out. Unfortunately rookies and many vets on the 49ers may lack that knowledge and/or do have it but don't put it in practice.

Bosa's never had hammy problems after he's incorporated yoga stretching exercises into his routine. At least to my knowledge. I'm hoping either Kittle, Deebo, Trey or another esteemed player begins to establish that workout warrior mentality that Bosa exemplifies. I think one of the articles wrote about Bosa's body fat being a better percentage than the WRs and DBs. 👀Wow!👀

Hopefully that workout warrior culture that Harbaugh tried to instill here for a time, not too long ago, comes back in a big way.

Because a study hasn't been conducted.

Sure there haven't,

I think the 8 years of "normal" for the team has numbed the more recent fans in to lower expectations with health issues.

The modern and woke generation of less practices, poor attitudes/work ethic and rule changes/coaching schemes make for an interesting recipe and much denial.

I'm hoping that changes this season. I'm hoping they have really drilled down in the scouting department with regards to durability. Hope hope.
Another hammy and Ambry Thomas has a knee issue.
More injured football players.
