Branch reports that Ward is dealing with Grade 3 hamstring strain, the most severe grade. The injury can take up to 8-12 weeks to heal, depending on the location.
Ward will be eligible to return for the 49ers' Week 5 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, at the earliest.

That is great news! Two games played on astroturf and the most serious injury so far is Ward. The rest are injuries that are (i think) less than a month to recover. We already knew verett and McGlinchey had issues from a prior injury.
Hopefully Brunskill can come back by game 1. Thats a good sign of the team really doing well in getting more durable players.
I still remember Pierre Garcon, Trent Taylor, Jimmy, dee Ford, Hurd all out for the *season* because of injury. Hope those days are far behind us.

Yeah, overall it's been a pretty good off season minus the lingering hammy's. Only 7 on I.R. Maybe 8 with McGlinchey.
Kalia Davis
Maurice Hurst
Jordan Matthews
Jimmie Ward
Sam Schlueter
Mike McGlinchey (Pending)
Leon O'Neal - Injury Settlement
Austin Mack - Injury Settlement

I am glad the team did not blame injuries on the loss.
In that game and on turf in that rain I am surprised there was not more groin, hammy or arm injuries. They likely put more pressure on the referees for RSI.

Ward
Kittle
Mitchell
I just hope we have these players back soon bc regardless of the growing pains of Trey and the lack of experience of the IOL, these players would turn these loses into easy wins.

Looks like Mitchell will go on I.R.

Haha. Usually sacrificing 2 players to I.R. per game ensures the W. So when the Football Gods let Kinlaw off the hook, I knew we'd get the L instead.
Ha.

Haha. Sometimes they can tape a guy up and shoot him up and then like TW, it gets worse and worse because of the type of sprain.

Right!?! It's our sacrifice for the 80's and early 90's.

Northern California water makes your bones brittle as it's been saturated with soy by the uniparty in charge…the stronger, calcium-rich man water is in Southern California and nourishes the Rams
