Just trying to keep track here. #1 QB, #1 RB, #1 OT, #1 DT and #1 Safety are all out now. Along with a handful of others. I'm at a ;oss to explain how the 49ers are always the most (or one of the most) injured teams in the league. You can't win when your best players are always in streets.

A certain poster feels like he OWNs this thread and he'll bump the hell out of it till the wheels fall off.
NCommand like gets a weird schadenfreud boner off this thread. And it's killing the team and the rest of us.
This thing needs to die
Now you know why Kyle kept 5 RB's, 10 OL, 2 NFL starting QB's, 4 TE's, only 5 WR's etc. on the initial 53.
Football Gods took it as a challenge.

He's really convinced that predicting that guys will get injured playing football is a learned skill.

Imagine seeing this much weekly evidence as a fan for 8+ years and still saying, "This is just football."
You're partially correct... its, "49ers football."
No need to get mad, triggered or even challenge it anymore when you KNOW it's coming.
It's just a matter of attrition at the crucial positions and whether you can weather it enough to make the playoffs.

I mean, sure, in some ways. Soft tissue injuries, I grant you, say something about preparation, training, etc. But Trey's injury, Trent's injury, and other injuries like Trent's, soft tissue or not, are just part of playing football. It's unfortunate, and I guess if one belives in curses you can attribute it to that. But a fair amount of these injuries really are just football injuries.

But what's the conclusion to be drawn?
The 8 years you're referencing stretch across several coaching staffs, several strength and conditioning staffs, and various crops of players.
If you're saying "well, that's just football," fine. But to say "it's 49ers football" doesn't mean anything without an actual analysis of why the injuries mount despite changing variables.
I guess what I'm ultimately saying is: This thread is literally nothing but a list of injuries. There's no analysis to be found here.

The Bills had 5 defensive starters out yesterday. There are just more and more players getting hurt. The one thing that does seem to be down are concussions.

I looked at the injury report heading into yesterdays games and the Niners actually had one of the smaller lists. What keeps hurting the Niners is key players going down. It's just agonizing that it's happening so early in the season. Hopefully most of them will be healthy toward the end.

did people not realize this should be expected every week???

Correct. Freak injuries. There's a normal volume. But when it's at that volume over that long, that's not normal. That's what this AGL thread demonstrated. It's so consistent it's affecting our team building strategy.

That's for your own theories. There is a nice Rams article a few pages back about their strategy. We have some insight into our NHL team.
The evidence is there and beyond consistent. That's why it's 49er football.
There has been numerous theories and discussions in here on how to combat this but they continue to do the same things annually. So from that aspect, the analysis is the 49ers are demonstrating the very definition of insanity...doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
If you study AGL, you'll learn a lot about injury trends in the NFL with other teams in relationship to us. I'd be happy to email you the results if you'd like.

Now this is the kind of outside the box thinking I like!
