Good news is that few / none of these injuries appear season ending. Getting reinforcements like Verrett & Ward, then Trent, then Elijah, then Azeez and McKivitz are all nice boosts later in the season. The only real disaster was at the most important position

This is a great way to look at it. And their depth gets valuable snaps and experience this year too.

I think Kittle said during his post-game interview that the guy who fell is team security and possible pulled a hammy.he said he would give him some pointers on how to stretch before game. lol
We are doing something wrong. Something isn't right. This doesn't happen to normal teams. We are way under the curve here. No idea what it could be but we need to find out.

The guy in the video above was perhaps on the right track with his vain attempt at an American Indain war dance.

If we could scratch out a winning record at the bye week, heal up then make a run for the playoffs we could be in business. The arbys worry me

I don't know, injuries seem very prevalent around the league this year. Some previous years it did look as though the football gods hated us.

Yeah, I just go game to game on this topic. But I'm glad we've only lost one for the year at this stage.
Look across the league…KC OL trouble based on injury. DAL same on OL. Bucs same. Rams same. Us same. I could go on but point is injuries ultimately catch up with you and now, it isn't an all 49er affair. It just had to start happening across the league and frankly has been happening for some time now.

When somebody bellyaches about our injuries, it is way more important how kyle covers those up, esp on OL,;..again…and like Mon nite, it is doable even if you have a beat up OL. Rams had as many OLs out than we did…more even, but Kyle adjusted us and McVay didn't do the same for rams.

Last yr we leaked oil at DB and OL.It is no secret we look to have fixed the DBs, and now have probably the best 3 level D in the league, DL, LB, DB.
We drafted late for OL and UDFA, but haven't fixed the OL yet. However, Kyle did coach around the injured OL, and that was the key to success last game…ok, one of them anyway. Still that is how virtually all teams with leaky OLs, have to respond…by coaching around the weak OL. Kyle did it, McVay didnt.

Agreed. You can't fix everything. It is the nature of the game, as controlled by the salary cap. But you have to be impressed with the strength and depth of the D. Personally I would build up both lines but the team disagrees. It is pretty obvious that they know more than I do. Injuries are going to continue to plague us and probably, as Paso points out, everyone else too. So the team's amazing ability to draft terrific players with low picks, to pick up valuable depth with UDFAs and to sign one or two real studs cheaply most years is going to continue to pay dividends.

Agree whole heartedly with English that the #1 task should be to "build your lines first" as quoted from Lombardi. We did not do it that way but did build our DL and then left the OL alone, proving there is more than one way to "skin a cat". In a game where the QB is of prime importance, it just seems reasonable to get your OL and THEN your Qb. With cap football, it hasn't worked out that way, with teams taking a guy like Trevor Lawrence and then getting him nigh on killed because of a lousy OL. Several yrs in, however, they NOW do have a very good OL.

As it has turned out, we are getting by with an OL that is at bottom of want list for F.O. If kyle can do like Mon nite and coach around our weaknesses and towards our strength, i guess this way works also. 1 game does not a season make, however. Let's hope and pray for another game like this last one for the OL.
