What's that website that lists team injury rankings? The one that we've been top 5ish in the Shanny era. Gotta be something to that.

Yup. Most teams aren't even close to as injured as we are. I think we are the most injured team in the league if not 2nd to the Ravens. Not just to starters but very very good to elite level starters. We play at least HALF our games on grass and still are ALWAYS among the most injured.
Imo, it's not just injuries that pisses me off. It's ALWAYS injuries to our elite players, or the most important positions QB, CB, OT. It is so frustrating, that we are so close to a ring, even with the injury bug. I can't remember the last time we came out of camp, 100% healthy or have a looong stretch of season ending injuries… Every friggin tackle, I'm watching how they come off the pile, looking for a grimace, limp or anything, just waiting for the inevitable…terrible

No, this is NOT a good video!! This is a horrible video. The entire starting D-line potentially won't play. The league needs to be looking into why this team is always THE most injured team year after year.

The NFL wants parity. If we were the healthiest we'd be a dynasty team again.

This is nothing to laugh about. Our whole D-line, CB, FS, and one LB are all out, and we're going up against a top rushing team. You may see this as a laughing matter, but I don't. With 9 (I believe) starters down, including the leagues top passrusher, we are more beatable now than last week. At some point, these injuries WILL begin to catch up with us. We can't take another injury to key pieces and realistically expect to be back in the playoffs, much less the SB. You think we're beating the Chiefs and Lambs with this many starters out? Hell, we may not even beat the Falcons today with all these starters out. We can realistically go into the bye at 3-5. And with all these injuries and the 2nd half of the season now looking as tough as it is, you think we can bounce back from 3-5 at the bye?

The way this is looking we're gonna have a tough time making the playoffs. So I find nothing funny about this, respectfully. We GOTTA have at least 2 of the next 3 games. And with all these injuries I'm not feeling confident at all!

Oh I hear you brother. Like Kyle said, "I used to get angry about it but you get used to it (here)." That's been my mindset for a while now too. It existed long before Kyle got here too.

But fear not. We only gave up 54 yards to Christian McCaffrey and he was still their focal point. No AA. No Kinlaw. Sore Ebukam. Bosa on the bench.

No problem.

And most will be coming back soon. We've gotten better without Kinlaw. AA? I'd consider him done too. He's not even making the trips and PF can last for years. I wouldn't count on him at all this year, for your own sanity. But DL are a 10a12. You're seeing that already.

Once Bosa and Ebukam are back 100%, we'll be rolling.

It's beyond that, something is going on with how we practice, warm up, rest, etc. We need to bring in some ex NFL coaches, strength and conditioning guys, and medical people to watch the whole offseason program. Something is way off at this point.

Yah. Blame the medical staff. The Bay Area has some of the finest doctors in the country so I doubt it's the fault of the medical staff. The way they practice (or lack of practice) probably has as much to do with it as anything. Every team is dealing with a lot f critical injuries thus season. They restricted the number of padded practices and most teams didn't play many starters in pre season. Now we're seeing the result of being overly cautious.

This has been my thinking. But remember, this injury bug pre-dates Shanny. But there's no doubt in my mind, there's something way off with this team and injuries. All the of the normal excuses:

can't explain away this level consistent injuries year after year. Health-wise, something is really wrong here.
It's not consistent, though. Ward's broken hand has nothing to do with Lance's broken ankle, for example. There's no throughline between the injuries. It would be different if it was a bunch of staff infections, for example, but that isn't the case. Violent sport, violent results. The end.
