I guess all the WZ doctors were right on their initial diagnosis.

Broken foot. Done for the season.

Shanahan said Garoppolo "broke a few things" in his left foot and will need season-ending surgery. It's the third time since 2018 that Garoppolo will finish a season on injured reserve.

The rest of the NFC just got bailed out. We were SB bound imo. Philly is very good but vs our elite D (especially run D) and their lack of good rbs as well as their horrible run D, we had the edge. Figures
Ridgeway is out 6-8 weeks. Damnit.

Has been damn good lately. Moore is also out a few weeks with a knee injury

Philly, Dallas and Vikings would be the top 3 challengers for sure. I wouldn't rule out Seattle either.

But we were right there. Jimmy top 3 in all efficiency stats only behind Tua and Mahomes. Total bummer.

The 2019-2022 49ers are the best non Super Bowl winning rosters in NFL history. Injuries are the only stat that matters.

Seattle is closer to missing the playoffs than they are challenging for the NFC.

How do you figure? If they beat us they could be the #3 seed.

A team that struggles to beat the Rams in December minus Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald isn't a contender.

Commanders are closer to a contender. At least they have a defense

Time to change out the medical staff as well after this debacle.

These repeated injuries get me down as well. But, I don't see how the medical staff can be blamed for this one.

Gotta love our medical and training staff

In the immediate aftermath of Garoppolo's injury Sunday, Shanahan had said Garoppolo "broke a few things in there" and would need surgery. Shanahan had reportedly been told by 49ers head athletic trainer Dustin Little that Garoppolo would be out for six months.
