But in all seriousness, the issues at K are massive. I feel like they should just IL Moody and sign a veteran kicker. If he vet kicker doesn't work out activate Moody, otherwise keep him on the IL as somewhat of a redshirt year.

I hate this thread. When it pops up on the first page I get PSTD about - oh which of our QB's is injured again? Lots of injuries last night, but none (as far as I could tell) to our QB's.
We're used to it by now. Ha.
yeah, you almost have to expect it. Kyle just has to load up on the back end of the team and hope that those injuries uncover diamonds in the rough like Purdy and Elijah.

Simple, carry 3 kickers, 2 punters, 12 WR's, 4 QB's, 4 RB's, etc.

Well to a certain extent yes - - it's called the practice squad. But also I think you have to use the injuries as a positive to uncover gems. Like, for example, you already know the RBs are going to be injured, it's almost a given. So you get as good an UDFA Rb as you can get and coach him up just as hard as you coach the starters. That involves much longer hours for the coaching staff and Kyle.
Mason was a gem and the scouting guys probably worked overtime to find this guy in manure pile (so to speak). Then Bobby Turner probably spent as much time coaching CMC as he did Coaching Mason. Same with Brandon Allen, he's QB3, but they did a lot of work to find him. Same with Purdy, the coaching staff and scouting staff really had to convince Kyle to get him. In other words, you scout the 3rd and 4th stringers as hard, or harder than you scout the first rounders.
The following players were among those who did not participate in Monday's practice, per Barrows.
- LB Oren Burks (knee)
- WR Chris Conley (shoulder)
- K Zane Gonzalez (calf)
- WR Danny Gray (shoulder)
- LB Dre Greenlaw (hamstring)
- S Tayler Hawkins (broken hand)
- S Talanoa Hufanga (knee cyst)
- TE George Kittle (unknown)
- TE Cameron Latu (knee)
- RB Jordan Mason (foot)
- WR Ray-Ray McCloud (hand)
- K Jake Moody (quad)
- CB A.J. Parker (hamstring)

One where the OP updates the injury status of players this year.
Who's on IR
how many weeks left some player has before returning from injury etc etc
