Can we have a separate injury tracker for the year?

Whatcha mean?

One where the OP updates the injury status of players this year.

Who's on IR
how many weeks left some player has before returning from injury etc etc

that would be great if someone did that and kept it updated every week.

Does anyone want to keep a health tracker thread? Usually the sources comes from all over the place (articles, X, pods, etc.) so it's a lot to stay on top of and track but that would certainly be a valuable tracker.

Then we can keep this as the annual analysis and general discussion thread.
We already used 5 of our 8 I.R. designations? Or just 1 (Luter) since he's designated to return and the other don't count since they are done for the year?

Luter is PUP. Any PUP can return, but the decision has to be made in the window at the end of the PUP time period.

All the IRs so far are pre-53 cut down, so all are out for the year and not available to return. They have an infinite amount of IR designations that can't return during the season.

There are still up to 8 eventual IR designations that can return within the same year. Danny Grey and Robert Beal are likely to be designated as IR tomorrow and would be eligible for return.

Gotcha, so they'll have used 3 of the 8 already. Thanks!

No. None of the IR guys today are eligible to return this year. They've used 0 of 8 IR returns. Those don't get counted until they reactivate a guy, but so far no guys have been IRd that are eligible to be one of those 8.
Just change the thread title to Injuries-Lifetime-Analysis.

That would be awesome. Just track injuries... Leave the fluff out and the narrative out, and allow others to opinionate as they wish instead of trying to drive home a point and masking it as "analyses."

Do bumps count as injuries? I'll count shameless bumps by the author aw injuries are also tallied. As of the last 4 days i count 2.

Other injury threads routinely get locked for this one,... which doesnt really track injuries. IOW.... This thread is here merely for attention.

Hopefully a brave soul is out there and willing to start a true injury thread where actual injuries are tracked and updated, without fear of it being locked?

Would help us keep up with...what is posted as the topic: injuries.

Oh. I always get these confused. So not Luter. And the ones that will be added today will count though, right?

This will be what dooms the team, if anything. Been one of the most injured teams over the last decade and by some miracle were able to stay healthy last season. I figured the law of averages would catch up and some point and they'd have to have a healthy season, but now we're back to this…

I don't want to hear another f**king word about:
"its the NFL everyone has injuries"
"all teams are injured its not just us"
"next man up"

NO OTHER TEAM HAS DEALT WITH THE AMOUNT OF INJURIES THE 49ERS HAVE
no not all teams are injured as much as we are
and the lazy ass easy out mentality of next man up DOES NOT WORK if the next man up keeps going down on IR. over an over an over an over.

this isn't just this year either. this is a year in year out problem since shanalynch have arrived. injuries are by far the #1 reason we don't have anymore trophies. before coaching, drafting, play on the field and luck INJURIES have affected this team more than anything else. had we had say just half as many injuries as wev had, we win those SBs against the chiefs, and the NFC games against the rams an the eagles.
our players are not healthy, their fragile. we just lost both RBs in one game, who tf does that ever happen to? only us.

until this injury problem/curse/epidemic whatever you wanna call it is resolved, no trophy is coming to us. draft whoever you want, put whoever you want at QB, whoever you want at DC, none of it matters because we can be the greatest team in the history of the NFL one year and if our injury problem remains then (insert next hurt player name here) will be hurt when we need them most and wel lose the game because of it. the denial from some people is shocking.
