I don't know what else to say, it's like the injury gods are up there and they decided like "hey you guys, you know would be just a real fun thing to do. Let's completely f**k around with the 49ers just one thing after another all season long. It'll be a funny experiment".

I think luck is a part of it. another is the players they pick/sign. another is how they train. another is how the diagnose an treat players bodies an injuries an who does that. the team has control over all of those things except the luck part. and throughout each season of growing problems has decided to continue on with the same failing plan. that is their fault an no one elses.

I could be wrong but I do think the limited training and camp days is the cause for this. There is something about building toughness in training camp and getting into game shape that really matters this time of year. Teams have limited padded training camp practices to save the players but seems to have the opposite effect.

is the medical guy from the NHL still around? i think they made some minor changes to that part of the staff around 2019. whatever their doing is more than clearly NOT working. a sharp significant change is needed.

"its the NFL everyone has injuries"
"all teams are injured its not just us"
"next man up"
NO OTHER TEAM HAS DEALT WITH THE AMOUNT OF INJURIES THE 49ERS HAVE
no not all teams are injured as much as we are
and the lazy ass easy out mentality of next man up DOES NOT WORK if the next man up keeps going down on IR. over an over an over an over.
this isn't just this year either. this is a year in year out problem since shanalynch have arrived. injuries are by far the #1 reason we don't have anymore trophies. before coaching, drafting, play on the field and luck INJURIES have affected this team more than anything else. had we had say just half as many injuries as wev had, we win those SBs against the chiefs, and the NFC games against the rams an the eagles.
our players are not healthy, their fragile. we just lost both RBs in one game, who tf does that ever happen to? only us.
until this injury problem/curse/epidemic whatever you wanna call it is resolved, no trophy is coming to us. draft whoever you want, put whoever you want at QB, whoever you want at DC, none of it matters because we can be the greatest team in the history of the NFL one year and if our injury problem remains then (insert next hurt player name here) will be hurt when we need them most and wel lose the game because of it. the denial from some people is shocking.

That's all true. I say that all the time. It's the quality of players injured that affects the game more than anything (and turnovers of course). We've had 10 all pro and pro bowl players miss time this season and it's only week 14 (the number of games missed will total over 50). Most teams don't even have HALF the number of all stars we have let alone they all get injured.
Yes, there are other ways to win like player execution, coaching and referee help however having some of your best players available gives a team some cushion from not playing an entirely clean game.

My analysis says we're still injured. I could be wrong though..... probably going to need another 9 years to confirm.

This is the thing everybody should be talking about, not what players to give what contracts to.
Modern players are on PEDs that cause injuries beyond what PEDs in previous eras caused. This is why even kickers and punters are getting injured. Look at how much stronger kickers' and punters' legs are. Kickers have become so good they moved the PAT back at the advice of Bill Belichick, because there was a time when it wasn't automatic. Morten Andersen was considered by many to be the greatest kicker in the history of the game when he played. When he drilled 50 yard FGs, in DOMES, people were amazed. Now kickers drill 60 yard FGs like they're chip shots. Ray Guy was considered the greatest punter in the history of the game. His averages wouldn't be enough to be a punter for a college team these days.
Do you think all of these guys got much stronger legs randomly, and the injuries are just random?
The reason the 49ers in particular have more injuries is they get the guys who look more talented/impressive than other players, and those are always going to be guys on PEDs, with the possible exception of Fred Warner, since he's a Mormon and they believe in being clean. Note that Warner has been the team's most durable player.
Note that Jake Brendel and Colton McKivitz, two of the team's worst starters, are never injured. That's because they're not on the modern PEDs most guys are. The fact they're not on them is also why they're lousy starters.
Additionally, I strongly suspect that because this team has certain heavy PED users, this leads to more use among the guys in the locker room as well. I suspect this team has a modern PED culture, and this makes this team a walking injury.
While teams all over the league have players made of glass, the 49ers seem to be even more ridiculous. This is a team that starts 3rd and 4th stringers because the backups get injured as well. This is a team that ran out of QBs in a playoff game.
This team needs to clean house, but with all of the bad contracts, that might not even be possible. I'd love to see all of these overpaid guys cut despite the large cap hits, though.

Perhaps there is some truth to this.
I also wonder if the way the niners practice, train and coach has something to do with it.
A lot of teams are bullies and have less injuries.
what could it be?

Do people really think that the players are just going to stop getting injured next season?
This team can't even keep its backups on the field, but fans want to talk about "building" a football team as though it's 2005?
The simple fact of the matter is players are walking injuries these days, and it's even more common with the 49ers because they get guys who are visually "impressive" in various ways, and those players are virtually guaranteed to be on modern PEDs. The modern PEDs cause more injuries, as well as make players more susceptible to injuries that used to be far less common.
All of the non-PED excuses people come up with go out the window when you see how many kickers and punters get injured these days. Kicker and punter injuries used to be virtually unheard of. Now these guys who are drilling 55 yard field goals and booming punts are missing games every season.
The team should be smart and only go for the future injured reserve types at positions where it's inevitable. If you're going to get any offensive lineman who doesn't suck, for instance, you're going to need a future injured reserve guy.
On the other hand, you don't need injured reserve receivers. You can get around it by looking for the guy who is less physically impressive but has enough ability that he will get open for Brock against modern soft defenses. Look for a skinny guy - ideally, 6'0"-6'2" and no more than 180 pounds - who runs around 4.5 flat and is a decent route runner. You don't need more speed than that. More speed than that indicates a likely injured reserve guy.
At running back, any decent back is going to be on PEDs, and they're all going to get injured regardless, so don't even worry about it. Just make sure your practice squad is stacked with some backs you really scouted out who don't completely suck. You're going to be using 4+ backs. Never draft a running back before round 5. Waste of resources. There are hundreds who can do the job.
On the defensive line, you need guys who win with quickness and technique rather than the athletic freaks. 40 time doesn't really matter for a defensive lineman anyway. Don't get the power bull rush types. They're heading to injured reserve.
Linebackers these days are basically safeties. The team lucked out with Fred Warner, who is Mormon and likely doesn't do PEDs. He's legitimately a great athlete, but in an era of linebackers at 220 running 4.4s instead of 4.6, he doesn't stand out athletically. A 220 pound linebacker who runs 4.6 is fast enough.
In the secondary, you're just looking for the same types of measurables as receivers. Key for a corner is that he's 6'0" or 6'1" in height. Taller than that and he can't change direction. Shorter than that and he's inviting the high point. The 49ers' scheme actually does a good job of protecting its corners. 6'0" or 6'1", 180 pounds at most, 4.5 flat 40. Safeties should just be corners these days anyway. No need for Ji'Aiyir Brown types. Get the best corners you can find, and put some of them at safety.
Kicker, you're going to need a guy who is going to get injured. Same with punter. They're all doing PEDs. Morten Andersen and Ray Guy wouldn't make a college team these days.
Quarterback, they seem to be on position-specific PEDs that lead to different types of injuries than players at other positions. Most quarterbacks these days are able to play through them to some extent. You just have to deal with it. QB is by far the most important position in football, and when you have somebody like Brock who was by far the best QB in football in 2023, you just hope that he's able to play through things when they come up. Brock MAY be clean, but I wouldn't put money on it.
Note that when I talk about modern PEDs, I'm not saying the players are necessarily cheating. There are many PEDs that aren't on the banned list, either because the NFL doesn't know about them, or because it can't test for them. The companies that produce them are always way ahead of the testing.
