I want to agree with you BUT I thought we improved in every area last season too and look how that turned out.
I dont agree. Roster wise that is.
I mean lets talk Chargers,Bills,Jags,Bears,Foreskins,
Browns,Jets,Dolphins,Colts,Titans,Saints,Cards,Panthers,Lions.
Can you say any of those teams will for sure go better than 8-8?
How is this relevant at all? Of course you can't say that many teams will for sure go better than 8-8 before the season even starts. Last year, 17 teams went better than 8-8. At most, only 2-3 can be considered locks to go better than 8-8 again (Patriots and Packers - maybe the Steelers and Seahawks). Even that is a stretch, because if Rodgers misses the season, the Packers probably don't win many games.
We're probably going to finish anywhere from 25-32 in the standings this year which is appropriate for the 30th or 31st best team in the NFL. The Jets are the only team substantially worse than us, but there are a few teams close to us (you could make an argument either way for the Browns, 49ers, Bears, and Rams as the next worst team in the league).
If I was going to bet on any team beating its current projections, I'd probably bet on the Browns - they have what should be a dominant offensive line, their defense should be significantly improved (Garrett is going to be a monster), and Kizer should take over as the starting QB midway through the season and be an improvement over Osweiler or Kessler. I think the Rams got better after adding Watkins, so the Jets, 49ers, and Bears are the three worst teams in the league.
2017 win projections:
Jets: 3.5
Browns: 4.5
49ers: 5.0
Rams: 5.5
Bears: 5.5
Bills: 6.5
Jaguars: 7.0
Lions: 7.5
Chargers: 7.5
Dolphins: 7.5
Redskins: 7.5
