There were a few blown coverages by TEN in this game that resulted in big plays for the 49ers. Here is the Celek TD. While the blown coverage did not immediately lead to the TD, it eventually did once JG spotted Celek and found the passing lane.
vs Cover1 Robber
Celek motions across the formation and the safety (S) follows him.
TEN must have scouted the 49ers or something because they are ready to jump the slant from Taylor, which is what happens. But when the safety on Celek jumps TTaylor's slant, there needs to be a switch so that the CB on Taylor takes over coverage on Celek. That does not happen. JG is looking at Taylor's slant but can't target him because TEN defends it.
JG now progresses over to the 5 step slant-flat combination on the left, not knowing that TEN has busted coverage on Celek. Can't fault JG for not seeing Celek, the progression is TT's slant, then the Slant-Flat combo on the left. JG doesn't pull the trigger on either Goodwin or Bourne.
Scramble drill time. The CB that was on Taylor, and perhaps should have switched over to Celek, is shown chillin in the middle of the endzone playing zone while Celek is chillin in the corner of the endzone.
In the preview video of JG mic'ed up, he was talking to Celek after this play and said (paraphrased), "I saw you in the end zone but a defender was in the way so I had to wait for a lane to open up". JG sees Celek at this point, but is wary of the LB covering Hyde.
As soon as the passing lane was available... #CelekTime.

This is the 2nd drive of the game and we're going to run a "pin" concept(post+in). We come out in 21 personnel and TEN responds with cover 1 man. They're going to bring both their OLB's in pass rush for a 5 man rush.
TEN tried to press jam our receivers. They succeed on Bourne(i think) but Goody does a good job slipping the jam and getting inside leverage. Jimmy sees the Mike and SS fly out on the RB's. He knows it's man-coverage here combined with no bail on the press coverage.
The TED backer actually blows his coverage leaving Celek open. But, JG doesn't settle for the underneath. It's a hi/lo read and the TE is the 3rd read in the progression. He sees Goodwin has leverage with a backtracking safety, he knows this route has won. Beadles is beaten but check out how fast JG's release is. Note where the edge rusher and Goody are.
From his back foot to this screenshot even Goody could only move 3 yards....Also, the ball is already out and Goodwin is just now starting his break. That means he started his throwing motion before Goody started his break. That's throwing with anticipation. Something we didn't fully see in his first couple starts. That's exciting growth as well. Shows that with more time with all his receivers it's gonna be special.

Just throwing this out there, because I did when Thl posted this gif in the Jimmy thread.....but this play looks an awful lot like this one found in Elder Shanny's 2002 book
Those outer routes look like skinny posts to me and with the snag over the middle and the flat routes it just looks like this playart to me.

My gut says if Cohn says something relating to football then it's probably a bunch of b******t.

Here's another busted coverage by TEN. Juice will line up wide then motion into the backfield. There's some communication going on between the TEN defenders as they sort things out. The two blue defenders are highlighted to show that one of them should cover Juice, the other should cover Celek.
vs Cover1 blitz.
This looks like possibly a Snag concept with Celek running a Corner, but Celek will adjust his route after the play starts. The safety is lined up over Celek while the OLB has not moved at all after Juice's motion.
I know Juice is a pro bowl FB but no defense should ever double cover a FB in the flat.

Nice to see we're getting chunks of yards on a single play again. 3rd&12 use to be a uphill battle we could never win. Now it's possible to even convert a 3rd&18.
I gotta think it's a Jimmy and Kyle combo to give us that.

Looks like they bracketed both short routes since it was a 5 man rush. I think the FS messed up here.

Possibly a Spot concept and when Celek realizes he's uncovered he just runs into the void?
