This is a play that should look really familiar from the Harbaugh days. Jon gruden calls this "96 power". I high school when I played RB we called it "26 power". Same thing, just a different number for the back. It's a power play through the "6" hole(outside the RT). You get down blocks away from the play with a backside guard pulling and leading through the hole. The FB has a kickout block on the first guy he sees and the guard is responsible for sealing the first LB that shows in the hole.

I also played LB and the one thing I was good at was this, filling the hole quickly. As a LB you have to be able to read the lineman in front of you and fill the hole aggressively against a power run. When you see that guard fire out with a low hat and z down, you have to realize there's going to be either a blocker or RB coming through that hole really soon. Your job is to fill that hole immediately. Foster's reaction is really fast.

props to Reid here on taking on the FB. That guy has probably 20 lbs or more on him and he stands him up. The only thing different I'd like to see is in the next frame. I'd like to see Foster take on that block with his inside shoulder to force any possible cuts back inside to his helper, Coyle. Willis was great at this and gave Bow a ton of tackles this way.

But when you can take out the guard and tackle the RB for a 1 yard loss, hard to argue with that....
