I've actually been really impressed with DJ Jones, he had a couple of good stops vs Carolina if I remember rightly, a batted pass and he's standing up really well at the LOS. I think the dude's a baller.
For me, 2nd game of a rebuild, I really like what I've seen in the games live (by and large) and coming into this thread I'm even more hopeful. I've had my doubts on Hoyer and I hope he pulls through, but what is refreshing for me is that the play calling is sound and when we have players in there executing correctly I think we'll be a force. Shanny gets heat on game days, then we come into the film breakdowns and see what you and jonnydel post and it tells a completely different story.
I'd like to see us blitz a bit more on defense, but we seem to have a really fundamentally sound scheme and focus and Saleh is reminding me of Fangio in trying to create a really disciplined defense, but I like that he also has that focus on controlled violence and aggression.
C-Link is the toughest place to go play and that Seattle defense is still one of the best around, for all that their offense relies on Wilson, that combination has been more than enough to put a big beatdown on a lot of teams. To go in there and compete so early on in this project is a great sign.
