Here's the play from post #32, the missed opportunity to Goodwin. It happens fast, so you gotta look at the keyframe posted by jd to see how it was possible to hit Goodwin. The defender being attacked here is Kam as he rotates to his Hook zone.

Ugh that's Brutal. I was screaming "get rid of it" at the TV all game it seemed like. He needs to get this figured out or I think he'll get pulled sooner than we think. That's a routine throw, and worst case if he throws to that spot and let's the WR run to it, chances are it's a TD or an incomplete.

Yeah, we covered these, didn't we?

Sorry if you did...oscar always throws some good clips and quick breakdowns, figured I'd just add it to this discussion.

Love this thread by the way

Yup that's a play I could see Rosen making on the regular

How much separation are the WR's getting? Are they breaking off routes to come back to Hoyer?

the wide outs can not catch a ball., the o line is awful but in no way shape or form am i deflecting blame. hoyer is garbage, when i think to him talking about how much fun he was having. and how i was told his best years were when he was with kyle. i bought into it. sadly., once again and thought he would be good for us. i think the crap he does not can not be fixed no matter who the coach is. but we are stuck cuz the rookie is no answer. lovely

I will respectfully disagree about the O-line. I felt they played more than well enough to win the game. Run blocking was great and Hoyer routinely had clean pockets. You can't ask for more than that against Seattle. This was the same defensive line that makes a lot of lines look like trash.

Agreed, our OL is going through the gauntlet of DLs it's first three weeks (Carolina/Seattle/Rams).

Overall they played better than I thought they would. Hoyer missed throws, waited too long in the pocket, and had bad reads.

I mean not sure who CC is talking about regarding Hoyer' best yrs were with kyle in Cleveland? Because they weren't from a statistical standpoint.

Yeah and here is Kyle talking about how he's lost his mojo.

"I just want him to get his edge back. I want him to get his confidence," 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said on KNBR's Murph and Mac Wednesday. Shanahan hopes Hoyer's "get right" game comes Thursday against the Rams after starting 0-2 and failing to score a touchdown in 21 possessions.

"(Hoyer's) had a challenge going against two good defenses and we haven't played our best ball," said Shanahan."

"He's done it before. He's done it in practice. Haven't gotten it done these first two games."

Last line sums it up.

After Carolina, Seattle, Rams and Cardinals, we may rush for 500 yards against the Colts. It will feel so easy!

I was yelling at my TV on this play. Such BS that Sherman gets away with crap like this all the time. IIRC, Garcon was trying to come back to the ball and RS was just completely impeding his process without even looking at the ball.

And to make matters worse, one of our DBs got called for doing the exact same thing on a later drive.

haha, yeah, that's why I said he played horrible in the OP. It really was bad. Wish I had more time today to show more stuff too.

it was his first game there.. and it showed. very few QBs escape with a great game there for first time there

Just for the stats: we are not talking about the first holding during the 3&1 shown on the previous page, do we?

On the one hand, true that. On the other, Hoyer is almost 100 years old, he should be mentally set by now.
