Woulda been nice to have these refs in the 1995 Divisonal game vs GB....Chumura and Keith Jackson were picking the s**t out of the then led Pete Carroll defense. Will never forget Favre ridiculous first half in that game primarily using pick plays. I guess the sting is still real for me having our offensive system used to unthrone us that year

Yes that was it, sorry wrong game... but well executed I thought, and the Dick Sherman theatrics drew the flag... have not seen that version before with slant/flat pick by #2, top of stem break at the receivers feet

That's just a terrible flag.....I don't really know what Hyde coulda have done any different. It looks like he just ran his route and it was a natural rub.

I think Holmgren and that Pack team was the only team that coulda beat us that year. I think we woulda beat Dallas in the NFC title game and rolled the Steelers in SB30

We were crazy hot for the last month and half of 1995. The ground game wasn't strong but it was enough because the defense was just ridiculous. If memory serves they were allowing less than 70 yards a game on the ground. They got out schemed in the GB game imo.

There's a lot of good, young talent on the Rams offensive side of the ball, including McVay. After years of offensive ineptitude from Jeff Fischer and his staff, they finally have an offensive mind that is up to speed with the modern NFL. If McVay can grow Goff/Gurley/Watkins, this team is going to be an offensive force in the division for years. There's going to be some shootouts between the Rams/49ers once Kyle gets more talent on that side of the ball.
I know this is still early, but what I took away from this game is that McVay is to the rams as Harbaugh was to us. What I mean is that both coaches inherited a talented roster and both are able to utilize the given talent. I am very impressed by what Shanny is able to do though. I thought we were done for when we went down two scores but Kyle was able to dial up some big plays and keep us in it until the very end. When we get some more pieces on offense, WATCH OUT.

Sigh, if only we had hired McVay instead of Shanahan. Both are great offensive minds, but this game showed the difference between a true leader and a nerd who connects with X's and O's better than actual players.

yep, Kyle with the rams woulda hung half a hundred and had 500+ yards if the roles were switched. Please explain what makes McVay more of a leader?....is it the sitting on the sideline and letting a decade and half HC run 50% of the game? Or is it having one of the best young offensive personnel rosters in the league that makes him a true leader. The fact that you act like you can make statements like this based on that last game is laughable.

I think the results speak for themselves. In addition to that, McVay just has a presence and intensity to him that players respond to. You make fun of McVay for actually doing something on the sidelines to try and help his team win, but most head coaches (Shanahan included) just stand on the sideline looking confused and bewildered while the game goes on.
