Funny you should mention that... my wife and I started our own little drinking game when a big play is negated by penalty on offense, or on defense, if a third down penalty gives an automatic first down. Needless to say, we've both been more buzzed by the end of the game lol.

When you're leading the league in penalties and drops, you might as well have some fun with it.

That's what is frustrating. I don't think there's a 'top 3'. It's more like "top 10" haha.

If I had a gun to my head and had to call out 3 I'd say it's: Hoyer, Ward, Robinson. But it's almost like a 9 way tie for 2nd....

Hoyer, Robinson, ok but Ward? He barely played this season. I mean, it does not erase the fact but is a valid excuse so far, imho.

If this play doesn't give Hoyer some confidence that his boy can't be covered with two guys, f*getaboutit. Goodwin is so fast and so focused on catching the ball now, they could run this play all day until they devote a S 50 yards off the LOS. Ha

So does Ward need replacing? I know everybody wanted to see him at his "natural" position but this won't work with a hole at FS.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised by that as well. But he has the best angles on the all-22.

But we just lump any stupid play (lazy, mental error, poor design, etc.) into loaf because we're fans and that's what we do.

Pagano's defense compared to Saleh's are polar opposites. Chuck Pagano, coming from Rex Ryan coaching tree, throws every single coverage known to mankind at the offense. I saw Cover0, Cover1, Cover3, Cover6, Tampa2 - all in the first half. They played man, zone, pattern matching, split coverages. They dropped 8 and rushed 3, they even dropped 9 and rushed 2 one time (and got a sack)! And IND will just cycle the coverages throughout the game. Truly a difference in philosophy. For watching film, this makes it very interesting. For the players, I'm sure it's a lot to grasp.

Wow! That must have been crazy to see on film. IMHO, everything starts with philosophy.

Got to find a good balance between exotic and basic.
