This is on NYG's first drive of the 2Q and NYG's biggest pass play of the game.
X Cross (three level flood) vs Cover3
Playaction sucks in the LBs. Compare this crossing route to the play where Spoon fell down (post #4). In that other play, the crosser was run at 10 yards deep and Coyle matched it. This play here, the Crosser is run at 15 yards deep. Coyle sees it (he's looking back in this pic), but has more room to cover in order to match the route.

Same drive. Two plays later, NYG tries it again. Different formation, different routes from different players, but the concept is the same - three level flood.
Sail vs Cover3
That yellow route has some space and both Eli's are looking at it.
Blair to the rescue!

I just wanted to touch on the Goodwin TD. At first I just assumed it was the good ole Kyle Yankee concept. It's actually more along the lines of this sort of play (different formation of course).
I'll let you guys do the more elaborate breakdown of our best play of the year but it was interesting to me that this deep play wasn't the Yankee concept Kyle loves.

vs Fire Zone blitz
Bourne's Curl attracts the middle safety. ARobinson holds the boundary 1/3.
Goodwin attacks behind and has 2/3 of the field to work.

Colbert has had some downfield pass break ups in the past two weeks. In this game he was on the spot and made a couple stops in the run game. Here's the play up the sideline that he was able to get over to help out on.
Cover1 Robber. Eli will look to the Spoon vs EEngram on the fade.
Eli briefly holds Colbert in the middle, but is set on throwing the fade. As soon as he hits his back foot on the drop, he let's it fly. Colbert stumbles transitioning out of his backpeddle.
Good speed to make up for the stumble.

Garrett Celek had a spurt of eliteness at the end of the 1st half.
Purple + Green is a rub combination to bust man. Inverted Smash to the left.
vs Cover3
Celek's route is a bit of a change up as he pivots his route back to the inside. The route from Bourne acts as interference on the Hook defender. This earns Celek's route a small window.

The very next play.
Vertical stretches on both sides. NYG plays some sort of match zone while dropping 8 into coverage.
Goodwin's outside release will turn that CB's back to the play. Breida attracts the flat defender. The defender on Celek will match him on the Crosser. Celek won inside leverage off the line. This pic is just before CJ starts his motion to throw.
Perfect throw to lead Celek.
+47. Most likely Celek's greatest three play sequence ever.

Great block by Goodwin.
Beat me to it, haha. Yeah was awesome!

Money throw by CJ as well, outside of this game we haven't seen a ton of accurate passes by him...crazy how much better a qb can be with time to throw

I remember thinking what a head scratching throw this was by CJ on the broadcast. Looked terribly short. With the all 22, it was actually there. Juice timing got messed up and couldn't get to where he needs to be along with the throw.
Good stuff guys

I think Colbert has phenomenal instinct at FS and taking the right angle to the ball
