People act like Candlestick was always filled up, before Harbaugh got there it was always empty as hell. I remember buying tickets on stub hub for 10 bucks. Niner fans just don't like to show up when the team is losing and has nothing to do with the stadium. Either way I'll be there every home game

Why didn't you go?
Bruh cuz I'm a broke college student with no transportation. I still go and cheer my crappy college team in the blazing sun though.
....but that's a condition?

Empty as hell? Uh hell no.
What years are you talking about? I had season tickets when the niners were miserable and candlestick was always full to near full. They sucked and it was still a blast to go to the games. Mostly because of the awesome tailgating.

I never remember candlestick empty for a season opener. yes later in the year when the suckage has already set in yes. but for an opener I always remember it packed.

no way was it near full. people bought upper level tix and sat the 50 yrd line or any where because people didn't go. The best part of those years was the tailgating
if you had Season tix, then you know about the re-entries. a lot of people including myself would go back out at halftime and start up the grill again. sometimes we never went back in

seriously. it was so f**king hot. a lady next to me kept going back and forth between her seat and the shade. a lady in front of me had one of those mini fans that spray water on you. i went to the concession stand a couple of times and it still felt hot in the shade.

Most of the 2 rows in front of me would show up........sometimes. They were heavy partiers. Technically they were at every game. Just sometimes they never made it into the stadium. Ahhh the good ole days............
Hell, when we got our TG spot at the state park bordering the water we had to be torn away from our tail gate to go watch the game.

Great fan you are
lol hes clearly not a 49ers fan. Free club seats to opening Sunday of a new, promising era, and he's worried about heat, and his personal time?
I've been to many games in club, yeah they're nice but nothing spectacular, not wasting my Sunday when I'd rather go watch my kids' games.
You dont have to defend yourself. I would go see my kids games too over the Niners. Let's face it. They aren't fun to watch whether its in person or on TV. I was a season ticket holder for many years in the 80s and 90s and it was a blast. But now? Not so much.
Cept he was using the 49ers ineptitude as the reason he didn't go. If his kids had something going on, he wouldn't have gone even if we were a SB contender and it was 68 degrees out.
