Yeah I cannot figure out why the stadium is empty

All excellent points except that last line because that's fake news.

But yeah, until the W's come, the energy and true hf advantage will stay dormant most likely.

Just a ridiculous claim that at no point in time held water.

nobody wants to go cuz they suck and even worse are boring.

Yep. Has absolutely nothing to do with price.

I thought there was a study done that showed only about 3% of NFL fans have attended a game in person? Mainly because of location of stadiums and cost.

Seems to me like bay area fans don't want to travel south and pay any amount. lol

I think a lot of fans don't see NFL games live because it is so much better on TV. Being at a game is an exciting shared experience and hanging with friends to tailgate is fun but the game itself is not that great live. Harder to see, no commentary, the long TV breaks that break the flow of the game when you are watching in person.

I am tempted to go tonight because of the bargain and ease of light rail but I am still on the fence because it is so much easier to watch from the couch.
Hey, at least the sight lines in Levi's are all great. I enjoyed my time at the Raiders game on Sunday, but paying $150 for an upper deck ticket where we couldn't even see a corner of one of the endzones isn't exactly a great thing.
maybe it's better now but when I went, it was the year where they had minimal decoration that tied this football team to its rich history. even not considering it, the stadium lacks personality. it's basically built for maximum profitability. it's been three years and they still haven't figured out how to not scorch fans on hot days

Some good points but....
4) they've done a much better job, and leaving is not a hassle anymore. it's actually smooth. that's if you know wtf you're doing. yeah the tailgate experience isn't what it use to be, but it's not that bad. what's so wrong with the tailgating? my boys & i have had a legit set up in the blue lot 3 years running.

6) lol being in California that is the norm in what to expect for beer prices. it was ridiculous at the stick, it's silly at AT&T, and at a Dubs game. lol welcome to Cali. but come on....that's why you drink enough before you go in, then it's not that bad, but beer prices in CA at sports stadiums have always been rape $$$

8) lol not sure where Dilfer, Hill, O'Sullivan play a part into Levi's stadium? they have no bearing as they where well before Harbaugh came and built us back up.

10) most solid niner fans are well beyond the harbaugh era. I think those who are level headed know good & well it takes two too tango. I love it, but so many fans are disconnected with this. Dude had issues himself. just was not a good fit. yeah our ownership is a mess, but come on. let's not kid ourselves...it was bound to blow up. especially when coach refuses to cut ties with his bantha fodder of an OC. Enough there.

13)...lol really? we have enough soccer fields in the bay area to satisfy youth sports. please.

14) come on. lol what QB were we going to get the last 3 years in the first rd???

some solid points though. overall we have a new group of fans that go to the games. yes the good ol boys have been pushed out. Also too I don't by into the whole heat issue. that's just a bunch of whiny Californians. nothing new. it's only a few times a year. Come out to the middle east and try a balmy 120 day while in full gear. nah for real we as a society love to complain & b***h about everything nowadays. yea it's hot, but also those clubs are pretty fkn awesome.
How many here have actually been in those clubs? dude if you have then you know exactly where i am going with this. sure it's hot, but given the new atmosphere and who they are catering too, yeah you're going to spend a qrtr easily in the club watching football, and enjoying the digs.

yeah it wasn't the best designed stadium, but lol i have been to many new ones that were the s**ts. Dallas is cool, but it's too much. it makes it almost feel that you are not at a football game.
Evening game means less heated seats, maybe this will be a factor.

Some great points especially #6 and #9. I live in Atlanta and their new stadium is light years ahead of Santa Clara's design wise and on top of that beers are $5, food and snacks are $5 and under, and all soft drinks are refillable. Author Blank has it figured out, too bad we're stuck with the Yorks
Pretty disappointing but it's hard to blame people when the prices are so high. But tonight? Nationally televised game, cheap tickets, cool weather...heck it's the only prime time game of the year.

I live over 4 hours away and make it to games on average 3 times per year. If I lived in the area I don't think I'd miss one. The tv experience is good, especially on the weekends when all the other games are going on, but there's nothing like being there as far as I'm concerned.

I do miss Candlestick though. It feels like I've lived in a new house for 3 years and I still haven't unpacked all of the uhaul boxes
Hello 49ers fans. I'm looking to attend your game v Cardinals on 5th November.

Really I wanted a bit of advice as looking around on StubHub, SeatWave etc I can pick up some pretty good seats for less than $100 per ticket. Is this the safest option, obviously they are all resale tickets.

Also I've read your thread about your stadium and lost my mind a little bit trying to work out the best place to sit, so any advice welcome. Presume the heat will be less of an issue in November? Ridiculous design though to have no shade on the stands.

I'm literally just a tourist coming to experience a live American Football game so feel free to abuse me/mock me as you see fit.

Interestingly, or Not depending on your view, the football (soccer) team I support in the UK have links to Shaquille O'Neill, different sport I know. Also if anyone wants to waste lots of internet hours reading about the most ridiculous stadium situation ever then check out the thread about redevelopment on our teams forum - www.thehotelend.co.uk - long story short, someone stole £10m and left the club with a half finished stand.

Get your Faithful ass to the game! I'd kill to be able to have an easy choice like that.

And have fun!!!
It's $7.50 for a pretzel.

I enjoy going to games and watching at home as well. A nice balance is fine.
The 49ers out priced themselves when you have to buy a seat and then have to also buy tickets. You are much better off buying tickets on stubhub to the games you want to go to. I do think ownership went the extra mile this offseason to try and make this organization great again. If I lived in the area I would support the team. I certainly hope it does not look like a ghost town tonight on National TV.

I probably would have made it if not for people I work with being nuts over a gigantic project with unrealistic expectations. I am currently waiting for a last minute scheduled meeting to start "scheduled" to start at "3:00ish". I think my choice has been made for me.
Seeing Shanahan's first win would be fun and memorable.

You don't live up here?
