Where is the offensive PI!?

Horrific
Would like to see another angle, can't see the arm extension, but it looks like a standard out-breaking route. The DB is not impacted at all. Phantom call.
Yeah, that was a horrible flag to throw that late in the game.
Yup. Ball is on the Rams 39 if that stands. 1st and 10 with plenty of time. Gould gets a chance to win the game if not for that call.

That DB was playing the deep route. You can tell when the safety comes down to pic up Garcon. 23 can't get beat deep, so he plays back. NFW is that even close to a OPI. Its a perfect pattern and a 1st down.
#thursdaynightscrewjob
yeah that was crazy. Offensive PI my ass.
This was a really bad call. What made it worse was that it was the last minutes of the game. The refs highhandedly decided the outcome of the game.
Luckily it will be obvious to almost anyone that watched that the refs messed up bigtime. With ratings dipping and this being the first true exciting Thursday game in a while, I'm sure the league office isn't happy the refs impacted the outcome. Refs are doing a really inconsistent and horrible job lately.

I have noticed the decline in the refs' performance since Goodell took over AND ESPECIALLY when Goodell enforced the rules to "increase the safety" of the players. It's been bad for at least a decade and it's gotten worse. The main differences is that it's more blatant and the ratings are declining. Maybe this will get the NFL's attention...

I realize we aren't that good, yet. But, I am tired of losing because of bad calls. Call it whining or whatever you'd like, but it is a complete joke and if Jed has any balls he will be on the phone with the league office at 8 am this morning.

Agree. Proud of how the guys have handled it in the media so far, but curious what will be said today.

Refs seriously need to start getting fined for these constant bs calls week in and week out. Yah our mistakes was a huge thing that costs us the game but refs played a role into it too. You can't have obvious non calls like that cost you a game, on top of that crap holding on Johnson.

FYP
That was such a horrible and ridiculous call. I didn't even care that much about the W/L... but the call made me furious.
Side note: The 49ers have an awful offensive line.

If it is late in the game, they need to just let them play. Or have someone to review the calls? One of the big reasons I have tailored back football because you see the critical impact that refs have at the end of games.

Agreed. People gripe about the time it takes to get it right, but get it right!
As for time taken, there's no reason why it needs to take as long as it does. One need only look up at the big-screen to see if a live call was legit. Because things are still the way they are, it further convinces me that there is an agenda at the top. Not that games are completely fixed.. but that they are frequently pushed in one direction.. and the poor other team has to battle both opponent and officiating to pull out a win.

Anyone arguing that there definitively was no OPI or OPI from that camera angle is just using motivated reasoning.
There's simply no way to tell. Show me the camera angle from the refs vantage point on the sideline and we'll have something to talk about.
As for the purported NFL conspiracy, there's a segment of every fanbase that insists there's a shadowy conspiracy that's holding their team back. Fans of the good teams (e.g. Pats, Seahawks, Packers, etc.) are even more vociferous about it.

No matter what this team does they are always gonna pay the price for that ass hat taking them out of SF. That curse will last for ages.

the 49ers shot themselves in the foot but the refs anally raped them.
