Damn, I was too young to remember that...I go back close to that, to 1977, with my memory as a fan (I do somewhat remember Monte Clark and the 'Gold Rush' D line). 10 sacks in a game is incredible! I remember Aldon having 5 by himself vs. the Bears.

I would honestly go to this game in a heartbeat if I were in the Bay Area right now. Affordable price, not in the middle of the day in the boiling sun, and I personally feel we at least have a decent chance of winning.

Rams O-line is much improved with Andrew Whitworth and John Sullivan. Goff is pretty much a statue in the pocket and he's only been sacked 3 times compared to Hoyer's 6. I would like to see Saleh dial up more blitzes, seems like he only rushes four the majority of the time.
Have a really bad feeling about this game. Hope im wrong.
I think their D shows up and looks like they did against Indy.
4 sacks, 1 FF, 2 INT, and chants of BEAT! HARD! BEAT! HARD! BEAT! HARD!

77 was the year when joe thomas took over. monte got fired. and we were awful for three years., 76 was a great year or at least first half when we were 6-1 and ended up 8-6. we set a record for sacks in a year with 61. tommy hart and cedrick hardman each had about 18 i think. that year had willie mcgee not got hurt and others. we could have won the super bowl. rode that defense and good running game behind game manager plunkett.
The RBs will feast and the offense is going to hang 3 TDs on the Rams.

Hyde will punch in the first one, then Goodwin miraculously remembers how to catch and scores our second TD. Breda cleans up and gets the 3rd as we grind them out for the win.

Hoyer posts a modest 15/20 for 215 yds and 1 TD.

And don't start Gurley in your fantasy leagues. He'll average less than 3.0 yds/carry.

You can take that s**t to Vegas!!

Seems like those chants will be a faint whisper according to the expected turnout. Make me sick. Wish I lived near there, I would be at every game. Hot, cold, rain or shine.

Thats been my dilemma.....I have both Gurley and Hyde on my team.

That's right, I remember Plunkett on the team - got the crap beat out of him if I remember. Regarding that D line, wasn't Cleveland Elam a member as well? That line went off that year! Don't remind me of Joe Thomas. I know this: Not long after becoming a fan at a young age, I had to endure two straight 2-14 seasons...yet I've always stuck with the team and have thought that if I can get through those years, I can get through anything. Fortunately, Eddie D. and Walsh came and the rest is history. I'll always hold strong through anything in pulling for the Niners - I'm always keeping a positive outlook, even after these tough past few years and the rebuild currently happening (I will give Lynch and Shanahan time and like what they're doing so far). Tonight, they need to beat the Rams and I fully expect them to do so.

I have Gurley, my opponant has Hyde. I will happily trade a loss for a Niners win.

Things like this is why I don't do FF any longer. Kind of ruined the season for me.

yes, I gave up on FF. When I was actively looking for other players to start against the Niner defense last year because our rushing D was so pathetic, it just broke my heart

Kind of the reverse for me. FF what keeps me interested in week 10 and beyond. The 49ers being 1-9 is what ruins the season for me.
