I said after week 1, the goal is to see one good quarter, later 2 and perhaps by the end of the year, a compete game.
Last week the running game was great, pass protection, special teams and defense were excellent and disciplined but the passing game shat the bed.
This week, polar opposite.
A complete game will come but such is life of the 2nd youngest team in the NFL.

Yes, and the sack was on a third down play. After that, the Rams scored a TD. So, the refs definitely screwed the Niners. By my count, there were at least 6 phantom calls against the Niners the past 2 games and none on the opponents....and that doesn't take into account the missed calls, such as the PI on Sherman last week in Seattle and the holding on the winning TD pass. Just pathetic.....or fixed.....or both. I would hope that Jed was on the phone with Roger tonight. You never saw this crap in the Cowboy games....even when they sucked. This game was stolen from the Niners tonight....flat out stolen.

you can't say s**t unless you want to get fined. There's no point.
No. They were focused on trying to convert the next play.

Scoring 39 against a Wade Phillips' led defense is pretty impressive though, you have to admit.
Should have been more, because drops, phantom penalties, bonehead turnovers and what not (oh and a missed extra point) but overall pretty good. Those 4th down goal line conversions were huge.
If we could just get the offense and defense to play to their potential over the same week, this team could get some W's despite all the 0-16 chants in the game thread when we were down 15 in the 4th.

It'll get better when Reid and Foster come back. But we do need a pass rusher and cornerback.
Yeah, they should help in the hustle department too.
There were just some plays where they only blew it because they got lazy.
- Goff rolls to the left and completes a pass while there were five guys jogging to left with no purpose (no hands up, no hurry).
- Gurley breaks Bowman's tackle and there were three guys watching it. Gurley escapes for a longer gain.

There are only 5 possibilities...
1) They were paid off
2) They had money on the game
3) They are Rams fans
4) They can't f**king see
5) They suck beyond all recognition
I'm open to other suggestions though...

You don't get to say games were stolen until you can make extra points, not fumble or throw a pick on first play of game.
WHEn you play quality ball then you can blame refs

you can clearly see 23 bit on the go route hard and then realized Taylor made the cut. #riggedNFL #JeffTrippletscrew
Infuriating. This exact same route is ran countless of times, every game, every week. Its looks so routine....what made this play an offensive PI in the mind of the official in that situation? Thats what I don't understand and it drives me crazy.
What cost us the game was giving up 41 points to the Rams.
No what really cost us was not scoring 42 points

I had a feeling the NFL Refs would try to come back with some BS after Shanahan chased them back to the lockerroom week 1....

Agree, but I was pleased with their hustle the first 2 weeks. Maybe this partly had to do with the short week coming off a tough road game in which they played way too many snaps.
IMO they could've used their hands more these first few weeks. They did try to strip in preseason. I agree that they are good about stuffing the middle against runs. I just thought they coasted a bit in space today. Maybe it's a side effect of totally blowing it in coverage.

That is the most frustrating part, Robinson talks a lot of game but he gives up catch after catch!!! Seriously wish they put a veteran on that secondary, maybe he will tell Robinson to STFU and step up!!! Dontae Johnson made a bone headed penalty but through three games Robinson has been getting picked on!!!

Everyone seems to forget that D played 82 snaps 4 days ago, give the D a little credit. Doubt anyone here could be effective after 3 days rest either.
Thursday games need to stop, too little time to recover and IMHO cause of needless injuries.
