3 games in? Hell no. Give this guy some better talent at OLB/pass rusher and at CB and he may have something.

This game revealed some encouraging things.
A trait of young players is inconsistency. Now they know what it feels like to win battles, As they battle consistently for a full game, they will know what it feels like to win the war.
- The offense got into some rhythm for the first time in the regular season.
- Multiple weapons were involved.
- The team fought to come back despite being down by at least two touchdowns, pick six, and several injuries .

Yes, to expect victories this year is a bit presumptuous given the number of new players, rookies and change in schemes. I enjoyed the game...which is all I want this year. When they get a FQB I will hope for better results. The Rams have a head start in personnel, particularly with a young QB who looks like a possible FQB. I even liked the defense, which was missing Foster (there new spark plug), Reid (the brain) and others dinged up. So what's not to like? So much negativity from the usual corners of the webzone universe! LOL!

I'd argue so many excuses from the same guys who have done this for 4 failed staffs now since I been here. Notably absent is the coach who took care of business right away even if I admit he had more talent. So what corner is correct?

I did not like Nolan or Singletary so...try again. I liked Harbaugh but saw him as self destructive...so...try again. I don't paint myself into corners! LOL! I support the team, hope for the best and call it as I see it.

We lost at home to an average St Louis team. Some of you guys need to raise your bar. The perfect 2 wins to 6 wins to playoffs to championship trap is what you fell for with Nolan. It wasn't until 2 coaches and a GM later where things turned around.
Shanny has to create an environment now. There's no throw away years even if we do only end up winning 4 games.
Originally posted by 9moon:Ward can go or move to corner. Tarrt and Reid are a scary combo. And both are making plays. They are both still young, why not let them create something special back there. Its obvious when they are not on the field, the nergy and tackling goes down hill
We basically gave the Rams everything they had.. I think we really need to start offering teams players we see not developing... players who other teams believe that can help them..
Staley
Ward
Reid
Armstead
Bowman
Tank

No one was calling it progress when chip kelly hung with Seattle at the tail end of last year, did they?

My expectation is that the young players that we are looking at right now take the next step and start producing on the field. Forget about the wins. Our rebuild might be set back 4-5 years because of how bad some of these young guys are.
And to be honest, I don't even really care how Hoyer performed even though he had a nice game. Hoyer is not the future at all, so why bother? Everyone in the fanbase knows this. Even if we won this game, I'll admit. I'd be less upset, but share the same concerns. We don't look good on defense at all, and will probably get carved up by Palmer next week if he can just sit back in the pocket and not care about the putrid pass rush.
Okay drama queen. Most of the young players are rookies or second year players still figuring out their way in the league, learning to play with each other.
You can stay patient and accept that there will be a lot of growing pains or completely freak out and believe that every player is a lost cause after a handful of games.

At some point during this rebuild (currently in its 3rd year), you'd hope the goal would be for the team to actually win games rather than just position themselves for a higher draft pick.
