On the final 49er drive after the onside recovery, there was a screen to Hyde dialed up. The telecast mentioned how Barron saved a huge gain had Hyde gotten past him. The 49ers caught the Rams in a blitz, exactly when you want to call a screen pass. Trent Brown blocks his man into Fusco, preventing Fusco from getting out to the edge to lead block for Hyde. And that's what allowed Barron to make the tackle for no gain.

The two collide. I don't know what Brown is taught to do, but he should know that Fusco is trying to get to the edge.

It appears as though the inside rush of 97 made it very difficult for Brown to just move him out of the way. It also appears as though Fusco hesitated a bit before he moved outside.

Takes very good timing to make that play work.

At some point during this rebuild (currently in its 3rd year), you'd hope the goal would be for the team to actually win games rather than just position themselves for a higher draft pick.

It's Year 1 of the rebuild. Baalke never approached the last two seasons as rebuilds. Sucks as fans, but this is the actual Year 1. 2014-15 were simply wasted years, not rebuild years.

Yup, unfortunately it is year 1. He extended Vance Mcdonald's contract, the guy was sabotaging us, Baalke was a shehawk spy

Some thought Harbaugh was remember? Someone has to make a movie, you can't make this s**t up.. West Coast coach ran out by 49ers organization only later to find out, baalke was the spy.

Jed gets caught erasing Harbaugh's name from the 49ers history. Lol Plenty of drama

Is it better to have loved and lost (a Superbowl) than never to have loved at all?

Nice one...

I just wish we would have left out the backstabbing. We might have had a real chance. Imagine if we would have let him do his job? Something as simple as that might have made a difference.

Yeah, this is year one of the rebuild.
From and entertainment standpoint, it was probably the best game of the year so far. I am talking about the entire NFL. I like the never say die way the team is playing with. This is SO much better than the last few years, including the last year that Harbs coached.

I agree but it's not saying much in regards to Harbaugh because by 2014 our roster needed replenishing, instead that time period when we were in Super Bowl contention Baalke was flopping on draft picks 2012-2013.. He got cute and was hoarding draft picks that we should have used to move up, instead we stockpiled cow manure.

The well went dry, what did we do? We let Baalke keep drafting.. Brilliant!!! Self inflicted wounds...

He touched on entertainment, I'm just saying I agree with him but we let this happen. We brought this upon ourselves. We have a long way to go and have only us to blame. Yes it was exciting, it was also frustrating.

I want to win and i know thats not happening for years..

I understand what he is pointing out.

Sorry but true.
Anyone else think Eli Harold is straight garbage.
Dude is absolutely worthless and I'd start Watson asap.

It is the truth, they are young but they playing soft, they are getting pushed around.
Lol. There were blown assignments yesterday. We have players not playing in a position they were drafted for. We already have some substantial injuries.

It's going to be ok. The defense is improved from last year's personnel and scheme. It's only going to get better.
