Seems an elite edge rusher understands how crucial it is for the other D linemen on a team to be able to eat up blocks. Also how the scheme is run.
I think our line is being built as a foundation for a pass rush specialist to succeed in the future.
Lynch and Elvis may end up with 6 apiece this season. But one guy who has the talent to get 12+ on his own will find our situation to his liking I'm sure.
What are you gonna do? He's not on the team at the moment.

Doh. Forgot
When i looked it up i guess the sptrac i saw was cached.
Teams smartly aren't letting pass rushers who consistently get to the qb especially when they're in their primes. Freaking the Giants didn't wanna let Pierre Paul walk with a mangled hand and all
Yeah, and why dwight freeney can still have a spot on a SB contender.
But i am big on ansah. he is big enough, but still quick enough. Alm9st exactly like micheal bennett, and i do not think the lions can afford to franchise him, and i imagine he will test free agency given the chance.

Signing Ansah and trading AA then drafting another pure pass rusher would be solid moves.

It will come from talent 2-5 years down the line when they actually start drafting some high EDGE rushers.
Lemonier never materialized, he had that one sack safety on carson palmer then disappeared.

It appears to me that rushers exhibit no moves other than a bull rush. Is that Saleh's plan?

you gotta trust that the new front office knows how to scout and evaluate talent. That's why we hired a new GM.....
Otherwise these guys will be fired soon. Yorks have proven they can swallow the payment.

It works when you have guys that consistently get to the qb like Seattle

Which injuries to pass rushers are you talking about? To Brooks (we're going to let you go 'cause we got all the pass rushers we need), Dumeril, Lynch (why don't you sit out the first game, play well in the 2nd, sit in the 3rd. Good, we got a plan), Eli, AA, Buckner, Thomas? Carradine got hurt late in game 3, Foster isn't a pass rusher.

no, you see Paul. The pass rush will get much much better once we have a healthy Reuben Foster, Eric Reid, and Tartt. You just gotta trust the process.

I don't think Saleh knows what he's doing...
