Been looking for this game for ages...

...so many future HOFers in this game.

Niners in threepeat mode, 'boys in year 2 of rebuild

Only time Joe and Troy squared off.

Steve Young lined up @ WR end of the 1st half

I ripped that game to my CPU....I've got about 50 of them now.
Kevin Gogan was the LT for the Cowboys during that time? Wow. I remember the 49ers signing him from the Raiders in the late 90s.
Texas Stadium way better than Jerry Jones Dome in Arlington, TX in terms of sightlines/view of watching the game in person.

Thats crazy. They said the 49ers had tried Young at WR before. I wonder if Joe ever completed a pass to him? Montana, Rice, and Young all on the field during the same play. How have I never heard of this before?
Dang that's a pretty clean video. Yeah, Steve Young the triple threat decoy. lol

Mike Holmgren the OC then. Jon Gruden also on the staff that season as well.

Young's only 2 receptions were in 1993 for a total of 2 yards (one went for 6, the other went for -4). I believe they were both deflected passes he threw to himself.

This makes me . Our current state of affairs is just a joke. That team was awesome. You're right, the talent on that field was amazing.

And a Jack Del Rio sighting. I forgot he was no that team.

Seeing this game makes me wonder again if Joe would've made a difference '92 NFCCG... (tho I think he was 3rd string behind Bono that game, so even if Young got hurt/pulled it would've been Bono coming in)
Cool find. I haven't seen that game since it happened. Gonna probably watch the whole thing this Sunday at 10...

No, because he didn't play defense.

Yeah, the Niners D by '92-'93 was aging and in flux.
Leaders like Lott and hired vet guns like Millen, Jim Burt were gone.
The pass rush took a hit when we stupidly traded Haley to of all teams Dallas .
Future studs like Hanks and Eric Davis were still a couple years from coming into their own.
Stubs, BY, Tim McD, had yet to b drafted/signed, not to mention the all new blood brought in in '94 (Woodall, Norton, Rickey Jackson, Plummer, Deion).
CJ channel Joe
Man look at those aikman stats. If a second year QB had those stats today he would be on the street, and yet people here are crucifying CJ over 3 quarters where he "didn't do enough".
