Good thing lynch didn't pick Watson.

What do you think he would have looked like behind that same OL today without Hopkins and Fuller to throw it up to?

Watson got drafted into a great situation with a playoff caliber roster. The 49ers are not close to that. Any QB behind that OL today was going to have had a very bad day.

I don't know man - I really don't

Yet I think high draft pick (last draft) and season long commit to him would have been the way to go.

We all know what Hoyer is
Dont know what C.J. is

Don't see anyone in upcoming draft any better than Watson
Cousins is a maybe - if you can get him.

Real QB guru in Houston.

Just tossed a pick-6

And he has an excellent o line protecting him.

Lol you guys will saying anything to protect this regime. Watson threw a pick 6, but he's also already thrown for 130 yards against the Seahawks and has lead 2 td drives in 3 attempts. That's impressive for a rookie going against that defense. You guys praise Beathard if he manages to throw a pass that is within 5 feet of its intended target.

Who though? A 35 yr old LT? The browns threw down a ton of cash on the top OL FAs hows that working out?

Maybe just maybe the top end guys didn't want to go to SF? You can't assume in FA....this yr was straight up an evaluation of our players and who belongs here beyond 2017 imo.

They have enough money setup (and draft picks) to replace a buttload of players this off seaon and next.

If that's the case can't wait to see what 0-16 brings in F/A.....

You're comparing apples to oranges, my friend.

Houston was a loaded team iso of a QB. That was the final piece.

49ers are anything but loaded. They need help everywhere.

Honestly we really don't know what Watson is going to look like long term. We really don't know what any of the guys in the upcoming draft are going to look like but both Rosen and Jackson look like quality prospects.

I do know that above all else, the OL has to be the priority. They had guys playing today that wouldn't even qualify as backups on a lot of good teams. The weakness in that area resonates throughout the entire offense. Can't run, can't pass with that group, no matter who you have lining up behind them. Regardless of which way they go at QB, it won't matter a bit if the OL doesn't get a lot better fast.

There you go. When this team begins to win again, and it will, the waiting will make it that much sweeter.

I'm with ya... I s**t on my team through the good times and the bad... dysfunctional? Ya, but it's the only love I know
If I wasn't expecting the niners to lose all these games this season would've been traumatic
