I've been complaining about our oline for 4 seasons now, I hope Lynch addresses it this off-season and am confident he will.

I don't see anyone hating on Watson. I see people being perfectly reasonable in their assessment that Watson fell into a great situation with a playoff roster which is to his benefit as well as the team. He wouldn't have that situation with the 49ers. He wouldn't have Will Fuller or DeAndre Hopkins to throw to, he wouldn't have a playoff caliber defense backing him up, he wouldn't have an offense where everyone around him has been running the same scheme for years. He's a good young quarterback that fell into a perfect situation for a good young quarterback. Good for him. But he is utterly irrelevant to the 49ers at this point.
They will have to build their roster to be able to support a quality young QB and judging by the way Beathard had his face kicked in today, that wasn't happening this season. Watson wouldn't be looking like the same guy while having to constantly run for his life with far more limited targets to throw to.
I know you weren't a fan of his coming out so your view is not surprising lol
Texans have looked like s**t with other QBs playing with the same personnel. Now, that they are looking legit with Watson at the helm, all of a sudden it's his suppotying cast. Cmon man lol
And of course, it wouldn't have been same situation here, but I wouldve expected him to make more of the situation than anything we have going on at QB. I'm sure you disagree but that wouldn't surprise me.
Lynch/Shannahan passed on him for whatever reason, and I hope it works out for us, but I'm not going to downplay what Watson is accomplishing because of it.
As I type this, Watson throws another beautiful TD against that stingy Seahawks secondary. At the Clink

Big difference from talking about a player in relation to the 49ers and regurgitating what is coming off the NFL app. Lots of people chatting about that game in there it looks like.

Why? They had a good opportunity to address it this offseason and didn't.

Real QB guru in Houston.
Just tossed a pick-6
And he has an excellent o line protecting him.
Lol you guys will saying anything to protect this regime. Watson threw a pick 6, but he's also already thrown for 130 yards against the Seahawks and has lead 2 td drives in 3 attempts. That's impressive for a rookie going against that defense. You guys praise Beathard if he manages to throw a pass that is within 5 feet of its intended target.
Neither way. I'm not praising CJ or hating on Watson, just stating a fact. Watson has a very good o-line, and he gets 3 seconds to throw. Are we in disagreement over that fact?

The OL today was particularly atrocious. They should look at bringing in some guys off the street to workout, if nothing else to gauge their options because there was some horrendous play today for the 2nd week in a row, even worse without the only two guys who belong as starters on any NFL OL out of action.

I hope they do, chemistry is a big part of oline play but we have the bye week coming up, so I think it may be the best time to make some changes.

Not trying to fight, the game day thread has typically been a place to vent about a game or randomness...should call a 1/3 of the posts on here out then...why are you singling out my post about Watson? Don't be evil...

I wonder why Texans drafted Watson so hi, considering they can plug any QB on that roster and tear it up. Lol

He has been very vocal against Watson. Him being a Mod doesn't change that.

Uh before Duane Brown came back the Texans line was pretty horrible. Definitively worse than the 49ers for sure, and Watson still looked pretty good FWIW.

Yes we do. The draft is like when you buy a new couch and they throw in a couple of free pillows.
