We had cap to bring in weapons and fix the line. Shanny is jus too obsessed about redeeming his father's failure in Washington.
I don't understand why our players can no longer stay healthy.
Tomsula and Kelly didn't overwork them so people said they were soft.
Shanahan worked them hard and now they're beat up before the season even started.
Is it just SF, or is there a large number of injuries per team, league wide?
I'm gonna get my next door neighbor to try out for O-line.
She easily weighs 350 but can really move and chase her kids down. (not to mention the ice cream truck)

Who were you bringing in to fix the OL? A 35 year old Whitworth, especially with tackle not really being the problem? Zeitler who isn't any kind of a fit for a zone blocking scheme? People keep talking about all these players that they missed out on but never actually name them. You didn't have any sort of stud center in FA the way the Falcons were able to acquire when they signed Mack. The 49ers certainly weren't anticipating Garnett missing the entire season after getting injured.

Looking ahead, I see much better options at the interior OL in FA and the draft compared to the relatively poor offerings this past offseason.

Bad luck? I dunno. The only commonality seems to be the medical team that is giving the thumbs up on these players. Could just be that they are doing a poor job in identifying the most injury prone players but ultimately I think it is just bad luck, especially this year.

Sucks to lose, but that's just how the season is going for the 9ers.

Playing the 6-1 Eagles I don't think anyone had their hopes.

Oh well next game!!
I don't think Beathard is the answer

Tackles aren't the problem even if Staley is regressing. Just spending 5 seconds on it John Sullivan would be an upgrade at center, TJ Lang could of been brought in at right guard. There's always options.

He is the answer to this question

Who should be the starting qb for the remainder of the 9ers season ?

Both of those guys are aging, injury prone players. Sullivan is already dinged up and expected to miss a few games for the Rams. I would have loved to have Lang or Tretter as well but I understand why they opted to pass on them. Ultimately I expect OL to be addressed in a huge way in the offseason, both through the FA and the draft where the team won't have to rely on third string level players to step into the starting lineup.
Kittle had some nice catches
Pinion punted well
More Brieda would be nice
More shuffle passes would be good against that onslaught of beef as well

I thought that PI early when the score was low was brutal against the 9ers . Again

I liked Hoyer not playing

We had some pressure today on occasions

Most of the time you don't get a perfect choice in fa. Those young/ healthy guys typically get signed or are highly coveted. Sullivan signed for a 1 year deal. It's not like you're risking the world.

I've been complaining about our oline for 4 seasons now, I hope Lynch addresses it this off-season and am confident he will.

The OL today was particularly atrocious. They should look at bringing in some guys off the street to workout, if nothing else to gauge their options because there was some horrendous play today for the 2nd week in a row, even worse without the only two guys who belong as starters on any NFL OL out of action.

The OL is easily the worst part of this team. If that isnt seriously addressed it wont matter who the QB is. With holes all along the line as well as in the secondary, wide receivers, and linebackers, the Niners really have to hope that a team falls in love with Barkley, Miller, or Rosen so much that they will give up a huge haul. I think a trade down as well as signing Cousins or Jimmy G is the fastest way to getting this ship turned around.
Bill bird, i have to disagree with you and a host of other fans who thinks CJ isn't the one. How can YOU say that based on last two games when the kid got ZERO, none, NADA. In the way of protection. Thru 34 passes in 3rd qtr, CJ was sacked 4 times, hurried 9 times, and hit 21 times. And then it got worse. So how on earth can you or anyone make a decision on CJ based on these two games? Seriously, how? There is no way to rate a qB based on the zero blocking of our OL. Fusco, bad, Magnus equally so, beadles worst, and kilgore worst yet. YOu just cannot judge a QB when the OL stinks to high heaven. WEll, now we know where to pick first....OL. all the WRs in the world will not help make a QB fantastic...he OL has to be serviceable and and ours was not today. For second game in a row. So until we get an OL, let's keep discussion of CJ a secret until we have a passable OL. right now we do not. And until we do we cannot get an accurate reading on our new Qb. I don't know if he is or isn't. But until the OL can bloc , any rating of CJ is worthless.
What amazes me most is that we had people on the team, like Barnes, Zut, Theus who werent't that good and then we still have the likes of fusco, Magnus, kilgore, and beadles. How could one team have ended up with such an array of schid talent on the OL? Wow that is amazing.
