Who said he was drinking them?
Good luck breaking that contract.

Bad luck? I dunno. The only commonality seems to be the medical team that is giving the thumbs up on these players. Could just be that they are doing a poor job in identifying the most injury prone players but ultimately I think it is just bad luck, especially this year.

You people sure Cousins is going to want to come here? With THAT OL?

That OL will look diffrent next year. New players will be acquired be it thru FA and or the draft to fix those holes.

I think the last game I saw was either the colts or Cardinals game.

I pretty much just want Cousins not bc he's a great qb but so we can trade back in the draft and take hella linemen. Id rather have a rookie qb learn behind Cousins later on and a decent oline. Dont want a rookie with instant pressure and unrealistic expectations behind a terrible oline.

I think they have to drop some dough on experienced, quality veteran OL. Most of the OL coming out in the draft aren't ready to contribute Day 1 so you want to add some experience, especially at center.

Yeah they will def need FAs. I dont know how the draft is as far as olinemen but even if there arent any linemen worth it where we pick I think we need a tradeback to get more talent.

Good thing lynch didn't pick Watson.

Good for Watson, anyway.

If Lynch wants Cousins, he'd better acquire 5 outstanding OL starters through the draft and FA, or it might not happen.
Rather have the 5 OLinemen and let Washington keep Cousins. If Cousins is so great and the 9ers suck so bad why didn't he blow us out of the stadium 2 weeks ago? Because he's not a big $ QB. As hard as it is to find your FCQB and as many teams who would love to get one for their team why would Washington not make sure they locked Cousins up? Because he's a decent QB but he's not great and definitely not worth spending big dollaz on. Is he better than Beathard, at this point yes but CJ has 3 games under him, but Cousins is a long way from Rodgers,Brees,Rivers, imo.

Cousins would be better than any QB the 49ers have had since Steve Young. You're talking about a guy who threw for almost 5,000 yards and carried his team despite their terrible defense and no real run game to speak of. He's still having a good season despite having fewer weapons around him and still no consistent run game. I would take him in a heartbeat, especially considering his familiarity with Shanahan and the scheme.

Dude won't have time to throw the ball without a decent oline so right now it would be money and talent wasted.

Jeff Garcia wasn't Steve Young but I'd take him over Cousin's. KC had more passing yards in any 1 season than JG but JG had more TD's than KC comparing their best 2 seasons. I would take TDs over yards any week. Again I ask if KC is so great and the 9er D sucks so bad why didn't Kirk light us up? Why didn't the Skins lock Cousin's in? If you know you have a gem at QB in the NFL you pay him what it takes to lock him in. The Lions did and that was a mistake also, in my opinion, but it's their $. I am not saying Kirk isn't a good QB, I'm saying he is not elite and he is not worth the kind of $ some team will pay to get him next year, even if it is the skins. I simply do not think he is worth the $.

You're basing your entire view of a player on one game? He threw for 330 yards and 2 TD's. How many more yards would he have had to have thrown for in order for you to be impressed?

I don't know about you, but I'll happily take 330 yards passing and 3 TD's(2 passing, 1 rushing) from my QB every game.

Are you assuming that they would simply ignore the OL completely in the offseason?
I like Hyde and Beathard, but how different would the game have gone if they would have connected on that first couple of 3rd down passes and been able to score a TD and get some confidence?
They were hanging tough until Johnsons PI in the endzone that sort of deflated the defense. IT was like, Here we go again. Intensity appeared to be lacking after that.
If they could find a way to score early and get up by 10 or so, they might not feel the game spiraling away and lose hope and pack it in at the first sign of resistance.
Next week for sure!

The passes weren't the best, but Hyde needs to pull those in. I agree, it would've built confidence for sure. I'd like to see Brieda more often in the passing game.
