How many times must this be explained? OF COURSE Jimmy is SIGNIFICANTLY better than QBs who barely belong in the NFL as third stringers. What are we even doing here? This argument is about why he can't graduate to at least the high end of tier 2, not that he sucks. For god sakes he doesn't suck. Not even close. And the reasons for his stagnation at the low end of tier 2 are pretty clear: mediocre field vision, inconsistent mechanics leading to inconsistent accuracy (especially outside), a tendency to decide where he's throwing pre-snap and not adjust after the snap. He just isn't getting much better in those categories. He HAS gotten better at his pre-snap reads, no doubt about it. I'd say he's even gotten better at understanding what's happening post-snap. But he hasn't improved his vision (and likely won't, because that's more of a talent than a learned skill). I don't understand why he hasn't improved his mechanics much, though. That may be a habit, but it's possible to learn new habits.
Has any QB under Kyle Improved their mechanics though, since he's been the coach of the 9ers?
Trey Lance.

Super sexy and handsome, but very frustrating to watch him play at times

Why pay only 1.6M when you can get the same production and level of play for just an additional 25M?

No, it's that I was BANNED for a week because (some of) the mod staff allows boast to bully people but then crash down on anyone who responds to him in kind. Because they are his Secret Service detail. He is fully protected by them because "moderation" goes out the window and is replaced with extreme bias when their friend comes calling.

The two ints in question are not about accuracy. They're about vision.
But come back when Jimmy has a 50 yard season and an MVP.
You put me in right now and i'll have a 50 yard season
Lol supposed to be touchdown. Let me go fix that.

This may come as a surprise to fans, but quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo earned his best Pro Football Focus overall grade since Week 10. That's despite throwing two costly interceptions into the arms of Seahawks defenders. Garoppolo finished the game 20-of-30 passing for 299 yards, two touchdowns, and two picks.
Below are Pro Football Focus' five highest-graded 49ers players on offense against the Seahawks.
- George Kittle, TE, 93.2, 54 snaps
- Trent Williams, LT, 83.9, 59 snaps
- Tom Compton, RT, 83.5, 59 snaps
- Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 73.6, 59 snaps
- Kyle Juszczyk, FB, 71.1, 32 snaps
I thought you were against fantasy football stats.

Will do Mr. Reasonable Moderator, sir. I didn't see this until just now. I'm done b***hing about getting banned over blatantly unfair moderation standards.

Probably fewer than that. In 3 weeks it's very likely that we'll be 6-9 and essentially eliminated from playoff contention. Why not start Trey for the last 2 games? Any chance of getting higher than a 4th rounder for Jimmy has gone out the window at this point, so it doesn't make sense to keep putting him out there.

It's almost as likely we could be 9-6.
I think Jimmy is now on the "win and you remain in" leash. And I think he should be. If he keeps the ship right (and doesn't shoot holes in the deck), keep it going.

Nah stop being dramatic. they'll make it to the playoffs, already have tie breakers against Philly and Vikes who seem to be crashing themselves . Niners play some bad teams, others falling off, and the Rams 1 more time with Deebo coming back as well. Doubt they do anything once they get there tho

Jimmy has been playing well for 4 or so straight games. Every QB runs into a bad game. Even though he had a "bad" game, he brought us back in a position to win. SEA just made a better play and the refs crapped the bed at the worst times for us and at the best times for SEA.
