If it's players only then I'd go with Montana, Lott, Rice, Young
If we include front office/coach then I'd go with Eddie, Walsh, Montana, Lott

There is a name that should have been mentioned and hasn't. Roger Craig.

Walsh, Montana, Rice, and Young
I love our defense and would put Lott up there but only 4. The reasoning for Walsh and Montana is obvious. As good as Lott was, Rice brought the team to another level with his play. He was unstoppable at the height of his career.
Have to put in Steve for the later part of the dynasty. He came out of a HOF qb shadow and became a HOFer himself. That was a big shadow he came out of, and without Steve the dynasty wouldn't have been extended like it did into the mid 90's. More pressure was put upon Steve's shoulder than any player, and he was willing and up to the challenge.

That's it. Those are the 4 that started it all.
I dont see a scenario where you leave off not only the greatest WR of all time but possibly the greatest football player of all time.

Not sure if you are kidding, but calling Leo a top 4 Niners player of all time is absolutely ridiculous.
