Lots of decent Safeties out there but for some reason the market seems meh for them. Wouldn't be surprised if Tartt comes back.

i wish we could move on but you may be right. bring him back.. but still take a good rookie with the 2 or 3rd pick,,, i would rather do edge rusher or guard at 2,, but whatever,

DT's and S's...there seems to be an overabundance of these guys always available. Go cheap on these. Target the cuts.

Draft is pretty deep with some interchangeable safeties as well. Would have liked to get another 2nd or 3rd for Jimmy so they could use it one of of them. ..which might still happen

Moseley, Ward, Thomas, Lenoir. So we still need to add 2-3 corners for training camp competition.

With Tartt testing free agency, there's a chance he might not come back. If not, then there's a open spot at safety where Hufanga would be the starter if the season started today. Tarvarious Moore would throw his hat into the mix assuming he's recovered from his Achilles, but he doesn't instill confidence. I don't think the 49ers make any kind of splash signing here (Honeybadger), but should they throw a vet into the mix? It's a short list of affordable, capable safeties.

. We need an answer at safety to replace Tartt.

Safety and slot. Moore and Huf are big question marks. Maybe a draft pick at safety. The slot is the bigger question mark for me. I'm not sure on Moseley or Lenior manning that spot.

I'd like to see, Moore and Huf get a shot at being the starting safety. . It would also be wise to draft one through the 2nd or 3rd round for competition.

Not sure why I forgot about slot but that's a position with uncertainty too. The team needs to adapt itself to beating LAR and slot CB will be critical. I don't think simply assuming Moseley can handle the slot position is a good enough plan. I think Eman is physical enough, not sure about quick enough. Lenoir will get a chance to compete at slot.

I wonder if its due to this years Safety draft class being loaded with talent.
I think Moore and Ward start at Safety. Even if Tartt comes back. A mid round pick seems appropriate as well

If that's the case save that money you would spend on Tartt elsewhere and just let Huf back up Moore. I don't see any way they would start Moore over Tartt. Moore hasn't shown anything to warrant that.

Facts.

If we keep Tartt its because there was no market and he comes back on an extremely team friendly deal

We will draft Kerby Joseph, Nick Cross or Bryan Cook. Projected 2nd - 4th round picks, who I believe can be day 1 starters.
