Jason Verrett starts on PUP.

That looks spot on to me. And there's been a couple slips of JV practicing in a few weeks. Keep an eye on that.
I hope they keep TCF, something about him makes me think he will succeed.
Charvarius Ward has been the talk of TC. I have heard players say that he is sticky in coverage. I have also read some practice transcripts and sounds like he is getting his hands in there to break up passes on the regular. Seems like it has been forever since we have had a CB of this caliber this early in their career.

I decided to look back at his numbers from last year. I wanted an idea of who he had his best games against and his worst games against. I created those charts based on passer rating. Before I drop the charts below I wanted to make a note of a few things.

Ward missed 4 games last season. He had 11 games where he had a 80 or less passer rating against him and 10 games that were less than 65. He only had 5 games where he had a 100 or higher passer rating against him. He had 1 game where he gave up more than 70 yards. He had 2 other notable games that were solid but didn't make the chart. Those games were week 13 against DEN and week 15 against LAC.

It's going to be nice to know we don't have a starting CB teams can try to pick on.

Nickel?

Very fair. It sounds like it's Dennard vs. Womack

Lenoir has been outside.

you have been s**tting on lenoir for years around here

For years? This is Lenoir's second year in the NFL.
not even a full second

nc gets it. you guys have zero sense of humor

NC was s**tting on Lenoir when Lenoir was in college? I don't get it.

LMAO. The claim I "s**t on" the OL for years was just making its way over here with a little cciowa ironic humor.

ah ok. I can't tell when cc is being funny on purpose

neither can cc

Great stuff. Nice insight YAC!

It's impossible to not be excited about him and how he's rubbing off on others already.

One thing about playing on defense with the Chiefs, they can have a lot of explosive scoring. Which is great. But the flip side is it puts a ton of stress on the secondary immediately after that as teams play in catch-up mode and take more chances.

That's a big reason he might have been slightly under the radar but also is a bigger reason to get excited about him and his numbers under that stress.

Look at the passing offenses he went against last season. GB, BUF, DAL and LAC. He had solid games in them all. 4 of his 5 worst games, he gave up less than 70 yards. He did give up a TD in 4 of his 5 worst games though. I don't know what part of the field the TD's were all given up but at least 1 was a 42 yarder.
When Jason Verrett comes back Full strength, does he or Moseley play in the slot?

Hopefully verrett. So if(when) he gets hurt again Moseley can continue on without switching spots
Ward played more "island" man than any CB last year. His stats don't reflect his ability. 9er's defense under Shanny has been mainly zone. I hope his signing will be a change to more bump and run. Aggressive, disturb the route as the pass rush rattles the QB.

Do you see Ward sticking to one side or do you think he will follow the offenses #1 around?

Why Moseley?

Slot requires more physicality and has more run fit responsibilities. Plus he's one of the most legit outside CBs when healthy something Eman has never been

That was my first thought --- those are successful pass centric teams!
