True, but the area that's covered in shade (where I would rather move), is like 2x 3x the price of where I'm currently sitting for lower section. I did look into that last year and will consider it again for sure in the near future. It's not the worst thing in the world I just think its more of where the location is in Santa Clara directly on the east side with the glaring sun. We do sound like cry babies a bit but its just frustrating because you see all of these new stadiums completely s**tting on ours and I just don't get it for being a 4 year old stadium. Why the hell do the Rams get to have a shiny covered roof with side openings to their stadium to protect them from the sun. We should have planned better and not copied the exact f***ing design of what was supposed to replace candlestick. This is Silicon Valley, the cradle of innovation. We don't make mistakes and when we do its considered "a bug"

Yeah, lots of bad PR. From the empty seats, bad teams, turf that is a running joke, and the microwave. Hopefully Jimmy G can change a lot

rams and chargers stadium does not have a roof. I'm sure there will be complaints from the people who will get sun

What section are you in? Try using the seat relocation and move back to the last 5-4 rows in your section where it's covered

You may be right but is this pic fake or real? I thought this was what it would look like https://www.google.com/search?q=rams+stadium+design&rlz=1C1GGRV_enUS751US751&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=EAgJAW_RcB8HxM%253A%252CRniTAj3dAYboIM%252C_&usg=__RgUG_pfUWGYKmzyVaccsEgxsfk4%3D&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi8m4_omabaAhWC-VQKHZjNCukQ9QEILjAA#imgrc=EAgJAW_RcB8HxM:

Spectators were shielded from the sun thanks to a huge velarium, which consisted of a canvas-covered, net-like structure made of ropes, with a hole in the center.

Just sayin'

The Romans who ran the Colosseum used the Roman Navy to operate the Velarium because they knew how handle the ropes, sails and rigging and all the equipment and facilities involved with it. BTW having been there a couple of times it is an amazing place to see. As some have referred to, Maybe Jed should get some engineers to design a giant " vertical" or similar type of solar shade structure that would at least block some of the sun out...

That was one of the first renditions. I think the most current one looks like the Roman coliseum?

This is leisure money. Not, "suck it up and pay thousands!" Eff that. Unless you are dropping the money to sit in that hot ass sun I think its BS. Cheap talk as they say

Not talking to you, the other tough guys who never even been to a game

i know it will never happen but i go back to my other deal.. if the public outcry about the heat gets to much. jed should give out free water bottles and install some free water stations. i will not take away from concessions that much and create some good will.. i will be interested to see. if the team is good this year. if people will come despite the sun that concerns many people. not you sac... but sometimes i often wonder if by moving that stadium. it created a new culture of fans. the eating sushi talking on my phones during the game has replaced the blue collar hard core fans of the stick?

Yeah, I think the move did change the culture of the fan and Jed wanted that. He wants that Silicon Valley money, and hell, I don't blame him. The stadium does have shortcomings though.

The Giants fan culture changed a lot also when they moved to att. The Stick was definitely a lot more blue collar. The old school shared urinal summed it up.

Urinal trough was the advanced tech for that day and age. Wrigley field still has them today

they already give out free water. It's not the issue. The lines aren't even that big because hardly anyone is there anyway.

I went to the stick all the time. And I went to the current stadium multiple times. Stadium design is 100% garbage. You got the sea breeze at Candlestick to mitigate the heat, and its way different here.

Fans haven't changed at all. And no one there eats the sushi or expensive s**t because its all overpriced garbage. I usually eat food before I go.

The on field product has not been good, which might be a factor for why its empty. I remember there was a time I went and Kaepernick was playing so badly, the Niner fans started chanting Go Pack Go whenever Aaron Rodgers hit the field. I guess they were still salty about the 2005 draft.

I wouldn't be surprised if the stadium is still empty in September/October when the broadcast zooms in on the audience. There will probably be a lot of fans attending because of Jimmy G, but they will hide underneath the shaded area near the food stalls instead of actually being in their seats. Why would you even bother sitting there.

When, the 40s? Honest question... funny that they never replaced it.

Gotta say, it is efficient as hell for masses of people

well the stadium were built a long time ago.

Wrigley is actually using new ones, unless they renovated the old ones lol

Only certain games and certain places. Actually have never found a place where they give it out.
