Just cancel the season already

Oh come on, Sus. That's an overreaction, even for you.

Bro you really think they gonna be able complete a season? Only way it works is a bubble like NBA. I expect huge numbers of covid in locker rooms.

Just because he's on the list doesn't mean he has it. If he was around someone who has tested positive or he woke up under the weather they automatically go on that list as a precaution.

Let's no overreact until some facts come out.

I often give Sus hell for being a downer, but I totally agree with him. I don't think there is a prayer in hell the NFL gets through a whole season playing a contact sport. MLB has WAY bigger rosters and has already had to postpone entire weeks of games. I doubt we get past midseason, It's not like you can just play double headers and the second a big name QB gets this...the s**t is gonna hit the fan.

Imo it's the mlb that will help the NFL complete it's season by learning from it's mistakes. MLB was a mess when it opened from it's testing turnaround time to the frequency of it's testing.

The NFL has already structured it's protocols much better than when baseball started. Not too mention the NFL is trying to complete 16 regular season games per team, not 60.
yeah and the second some idiot sneaks a girl back to his hotel room it means f**k all.

I'm a glass half full kind of guy. The protocols between the NFL and MLB aren't even close. Read up on both and it's not even close to how much more well planned out the NFL's is. There is nothing guaranteed but the NFL has set itself up as good as it can to complete it's season and imo it will.

As far as doing dumbs*"t behind the scenes like your suggesting. That comes down to accountability between the players. If they want to complete their season it's on them. Either way I like what the NFL has put out there for it's protocols and I feel optimistic about the season being completed.

In terms of betting odds, non-QB's can alter a spread up to 1 pt (if it's an elite RB / WR / TE or defensive player). I'd put Warner's value (above his replacement) at about 0.7 pts.

The line is 9.5 pts. So if we were to lose him, it'll hurt but it won't effect the line much. Might drop it down a point.
Hoping this is just a precaution because he was in contact with someone who did test positive. We will know for sure in 3 days

lol COVID doesn't care if you're a "professional healthy athlete" smh.

He will go through protocol and more than likely be back before week 1. UNLESS he's actually sick then there's no timeline.
- If its just precautionary, than its fine, he will be back soon and its actualy smart to put him away from the others;
- If he really got it, probably will be fine soon enough to play week one, or else miss 1 o 2 games maximum. It seems his health is ok, but is always important to keep monitoring;
- Worst case cenario, he got it and spread at some extend to the locker room. Then we are screwed big time.

How long is he going to be quarantined?

-If a player tests positive and is showing symptoms, at least 10 days must pass since the symptoms first occurred and at least 72 hours must have passed since symptoms last occurred. This likely means that such a player will miss at least two games.

-If a player tests positive but is not showing symptoms, he can return either 10 days after the positive test or in just five days if the player tests negative twice.

So a player has to rest negative twice once he tests positive before he can return to practice. If he tests positive again but still isn't showing symptoms I guess he has to go thru the 10 days again. This is why I'm concerned about the league making it thru the whole season.

In this case, Warner could potentially miss 3 games or more by testing positive again since they could play 3 games in 20 days. Even though he isn't sick he could still spread the virus and teams can't afford to have multiple players quarantined. If 2 other guys test positive, being down 3 starters or even important backups could impact a team on a high level. The odds of other players throughout the league testing positive is really high once they start traveling and sooner or later it will impact a high profile player. Let's just hope that they only test positive and don't get any symptoms that hang on.

Just in case you didn't know...there are healthy athletes who get shut down due to the vascular side effects of COVID-19 causing myocarditis

The highest profile athlete I am aware of is Boston Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez. Numerous college athletes have also had the same problem
