I really like Warner a lot. Could he end up better than Foster? I dunno, but both guys seem to be very instinctive, the advantage going to Fred because he doesn't wind up and hit the runner at 90 mph...Foster's trademark. At the very least, i think Warner stays on the field longer due to the violence of Reuben's hits. Already on concussion protocol and we are just thru..what? PS Game 3? Yikes. That was foster all last yr...just one hit away from being knocked out. Now the helmet lead as a no go may help him a lot...but still, he has to be moving like lite speed when he hits a guy. Warner doesn't play like that, but altho i had not noted the hands before, no question he has great hands. Reuben OTOH, is like a bowling ball tracking pins...he knocks them all over. Fred looks to be picking his way with his strong hands thru the mass ,and bingo, tackle.
Two very different approaches to taking down the ball carrier. I like FRed's better. For example here, Fred's tackle doesn't bring the crowd to its feet. With Reuben ...it does. Unfortunately. In evaluating both guys, one would have to include longevity , because Fred can get the same thing done, without hurting himself, specifically, his noggin. Ergo, he would get my nod betweent the two because I would bet he stays on the field uninjured, moreso than does Reuben.
