I'm seeing a trend in al these picks. Speed. Everyone one of them is fast at their position.

Speed is not the worst thing to have on the field and we don't have enough of it. The more the better. We need to get a lot faster all over.

#SpeedKills #Need4Speed
#OutOfPositionInRecordSpeed

#SoFastYouMissedIt #InAndOutInAsplitSecond
Warner is solid with his speed 4.64 40. His main ability will be his change of direction, he's very fluid for a LB.

K. Street isn't fast. He ran a 4.8 40 yd dash at the combine AND he's now coming off an ACL tear. Same with the safety we drafted coming off an achilles tear. Tavarious has the physical tools dude is lightning fast. Just needs to bulk up get stronger.
Picking this guy really made me smile. Was a little bummed about missing on my guy Roquan and getting MM instead. But he's is going to be really good. Probably going to end up on the same tier -as Smith- who considered the crème de le crème and we get a rt who has nothing but dog in him as well and him.

Good pick imo

Right tackle wasn't a need until after they traded Brown to the Pats. Before the draft, no one would have said that we had a glaring hole at that position.

Now, in order to justify a poor decision made by Shannahan and Lynch, some people here are calling Brown 'lazy' or questioning his work ethic when he consistently (despite his shortcomings in the running game) proved to be a top-tier tackle (one who outperformed Staley in many games).

Pettis excelled against mediocre DBs and won't bring anything new to the table.

I don't watch too many PAC 12 games but that TD against Alabama was pretty sick.

As for Brown, Shanahan and Lynch challenged a bunch of players to lose weight last year. Armstead, Hyde, Garnett, shoot even Aaron Lynch did. Brown was the only one that didn't. What does that tell you about his future with the team? Is that the kind of guy you give a long term contract too? Plus, he was a liability in the run, before we switched to a outside zone scheme and it limited what Kyle could do schematically. I would rather them replace him, and get something for him, if they were gonna lose him after this season anyway.

Favorite pick of the draft. This guy has it all, smart, instincts and football IQ off the charts.
Let's talk a little about this kid eh?

Good luck. Most seem to gravitate to the threads where they can display their negativity. Hard to do that in here with Warner... Actually, let me stop before they pop up in here too.

HA

This video gives insight into Fred's personality, character and why I grew to love Fred Warner more and more during the draft process. His disposition reminded me a little of Minkah.

They were questioning Browns work ethic last year before the draft. He also had recurring injury concerns. Nobody questions his pass protection, but they couldn't implement the full run game because of him. Of course he did better than Staley, Staley usually faces the opponents best DL.

Wrong about Pettis. From the slot-pettis can take the top off the defense. He is faster than Garcon and bigger in height and length than Goodwin. Last year when Garcon went down, Jimmy was a wr short. This will prevent that at any of the three positions. Pettis holds the recod for most TD punt returns. I realize that the pac 10 is not the SEC, but with Kyle and Jimmy he will excel. Trent caught 43 balls and Pettis much more talented. Remember Rice caught less than 60 passes his rookie year.
This guy reminds me a lot of bobby wagner, I think we just found our stud for this style of defense that we run.

So I guess the emphasis on steed only applies to the offense. I'm good with the pick, but I think Shaquem Griffin would have been a better pick.
